Yes, that was Calvin Johnson. But Thomas was a beast that we could not stop either. He was excellent on the 50 50 balls. If I remember correctly in the 2009 ACCCG game Thomas kept making plays for GT and CJ kept making plays for us back and forth.

I don't understand this post. Johnson played for GT, Thomas played for Clemson.

Thomas Austin, the starting center for Clemson back then?

Interesting, in both the 2008 and 2009 games with GT, Clemson was penalized for holding by Thomas Austin on a long pass play to Jacoby Ford late in the 4th quarter by the same ref, Ron Cherry.

Does anyone know if he was vaccinated? Multiple young athletes have been suffering serious side effects from the Covid vax or the boosters. This is heart-wrenching.

Gone too soon, he was good for Denver as well. Just probably got hit too much and it caused these seizures.

Thomas was the one who caught the touchdown pass

on the fake field goal in 2009 that put them up 21-0. I think that may be the picture above. He had stayed near the sideline when the offense ran off the field and the kicking team ran on. Clemson came back to take the lead before losing that game. Clemson did something similar with Jacoby Ford against SC the year before. We had some epic battles with GT. DT was a great player and apparently even better person.

33 is too young to be dying.
