Hilarious!
"Positive: At least we lose pretty (Kentucky) with Williams-Brice all dollied up. The sleight of hand 'distraction-from-this-upcoming-season' upgrading stadium facilities and landscaping wins a championship all on its own, at the Brice. Congratulations to the grounds-crew!
Negative: SC lack of talent all around. SC lack of HEIGHT & skill at key positions (QB, WR) all around. Lack of vision recruiting (Spurrier, Jr.) over the past TWO seasons. Lack of reliable coaches on defense. Anticipate a house cleaning of coaches on defense with the exception of Hoke come day after last game (Clemson) of this woeful, just 3 games in, season. Next should be 'Mr. Way-Past-His-Welcome-Stick-in-the-Mud' Spurrier JUNIOR and company. Come on, we're talking about 10 plus years now of spinning our wheels and not breaking through the preverbial glass SEC ceiling!! As far as recruiting goes, it's no secret that other SEC coaches are using Spurrier's age and him hmm'n and haww'n about retirement to lure prize recruits to their programs from our area (hello Kentucky & Tennessee). It's not rocket science. Lie/Don't retire...like elder statesmen K-State Bill Snyder, VTech Frank Beamer and Joe Paterno (used to). Keep the recruits coming to maintain national prominence like the latter. It's getting might tiresome watching no-name schools (Missouri) and no-name coaches (Gene Chizik, Urban Meyer) come and go in this league either winning SECs and/or multiple national championships while we still throttling in neutral in what seems like upstream in the Congaree River for the past 11 years!
Answer? With the exception of Shawn Elliot, Mangus & Hoke, clean house from the assistant coaches on down. Whew, and to think the 11 win season glory days of our (Clowney) defense bailing out our offense are loooong gone."

Lets see, Elliott is the OL coach, Mangus is the OC/QB coach and Hoke is in charge of the defense... It would appear to me that their positions have performed #### poor as well so that house cleaning/demolition should include them as well...

You do know that Coach Elliott sold his house in Cola this past week after putting it on the market during his family vacation! I hear he is headed to Va. Tech for next season. Spurrier is gone with a losing season! Tanner can't fire him, but the trustees can decide not to renew his contract! #### fans are not going to stay quiet is things go south this year. The few I spoke with in the last few weeks think he is gone in some manner, especially with a disappointing season.
