This isn't football related but wanted to say I have been really away from everything since last Wednesday. Spent time in the ER, couple of serious infections and kidney stones, and I didn't seem to be getting better. So I'm back... But I think we are on the right track now and hopefully I will go home in a bit. Big week ahead as we all know.

I have heard other things suggested as well. My neighbor told my wife couple of stiff drinks and a gummie should help it pass.

Cranberry juice and vodka made peeing a lot more tolerable for some reason.
Still hurt like you know what, but it made a big difference.

This is a fact, and many people that I've met that has kidney stones, they say what I have said with a few of them that I've had, and that is the muscle spasms in your back around your kidney area, the pain was so freaking bad that it had me curled up on the floor crying like a child. My entire body had locked up so tight that I couldn't moved until the spasm had relaxed.

Kidney stones are no fun. I fondly remember that first pain shot they gave me in the ER and thanking my lucky stars to be alive in the age of modern medicine.

Been there myself. As close as a man can get to being in labor. Those “sand spurs” really hurt when they are on the move. My personal drink with these stones are water with a fresh squeezed half lemon. Seems to help.

I feel for ya brother. I've had an ongoing battle with kidney stones since I was 12-13 years old. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Get well soon and drink plenty of lemonade or water.

David Hood, I feel for you, and I can definitely relate to you about the before and after problems that's involved with Kidney stones. I mean in the past 60 years I have successfully past 55 stones before the doctor having to reach in and blow #56 up, but 57, 58, and 59 have passed through pretty easy. I'm waiting on the next one, #60 probably before the end of the year!!!
I can say this, after so many the scar tissue helps them to be less painful unless they are boulder size like #56 was. My Urologists told me and my wife that my #56 was the biggest kidney stone that he had personally ever seen. I know that the pain level with that #56 was off the 1-10 scale, a 1-20 scale probably wouldn't have worked either, it was by far the most painful of them all!!!

The stones that have those sharp prickly spines on them, they will put a full grown bad A$$ on the ground crying for help. I have had way more than my share of injuries over my lifetime, and kidney stone pain has been without any doubt whatsoever the worst pain I've ever had. No matter the size, those prickly spine kidney stones are the hardest and most painful stones to pass. I've had some that looked and felt like a smooth little pebble smaller than a BB, those kinds only cause bladder and urinary track discomfort. The same size one with the prickly spines on them, they will have you making promises to God or whoever if they will help you out of that pain, and that's a fact!!!
