Gotta like our chances here folks, honestly. Carter is slated to visit Florida soon but is also expected to be here for the All In Cookout.
He's an exceptional prospect and he's been high on the radar for quite some time. Carter has great burst off the snap, he's tenacious fending off blocks and ultra-aggressive in the backfield. His production speaks for itself (76 tackles (42 solo) and 7.5 sack in 2015). He is the 4th ranked DE on my big board and inside the top 50.
From the 2016 spring game, it was his third trip to Clemson at the time:
“I really enjoyed it. I really took away from it that I’m their guy at defensive end. They made me feel like a priority.”
After the 2015 FSU @ Clemson game:
“I loved the energy of the fans and just how Clemson played as a team. I remember the crazy atmosphere and I really enjoyed the coaches and what they’re about, and I loved the campus.”
From December 2015:
“Coach Hobby was saying he doesn’t recruit a lot of guys to Clemson, because they only take two guys a year at the position, so he said if I gave them a chance, he’s going to recruit me,” Carter said.

Carter's got a lot of Shaq Lawson in him. Not an elite athlete, but certainly a very good athlete at the next level with similar physical presence to Lawson.
