Wonder how much(small school who won) invests in basketball.
I bet (small school who won) has so much more fan support
Amateur comedy night isn't really hitting the mark. I'd tell em not to quit their day jobs but I suspect those are going that well either.

We’ve waited 13 years for Brad to get us back to where we were. Guys at schools with no support can come in and turn things around in a year or two…

If you really aren't content with the results then I'd think you'd have to understand that the biggest change you can make to try and get better results is to change the coach that has created your discontent for the last 13 years. To land outside of the Top 35 final rankings 12 out of 13 years should not be a standard we want to continue. It is really crazy that someone thinks Brad is the best we can get to come to Clemson.

What we do here is for our own entertainment. You have certainly done your fair share of complaining as well. We all have our gripes and opinions. The back-and-forth just makes it a little more fun.

I’m enjoying the tournament greatly so far. But since I’m not invested in any of these teams I have plenty of time for perusing and participating on TNet. And social media is a bellwether. Our AD has made clear he won’t fire Brownell for performance. So he’s forcing the fanbase to make it untenable to keep him. The actual participants are a fraction of the people who actually visit this and other sites. They are very influenced by the prevailing sentiment.

It’s a site feature. I use it. I’ve been giving more TUs than TDs. I noticed several TDs from you today, mostly because they were the only TD on the post. The user id wasn’t familiar to me so I certainly wasn’t intentionally targeting you. I don’t understand making an issue of giving them and then doing it yourself.

These posts are. I've somehow found the restraint to ignore most of the posts that are worthy of a TD. I usually only give a TD when someone is putting down one our coaches or players which means I have a lot of opportunities to give TDs.

So, is ignoring the issues and just pretending like everything is fine really the way to go? I know our administration sure seems to think so. I just don't understand how people who claim to be ardent basketball supporters are so tied to a coach that has not delivered on expectations for this long and then pretend like he is the best we can get and we should all just shut up and accept it.
This sure doesn't seem like the way to change and lasting improvements to me but I guess it is what it is.

Gonna have to accept that we'll never agree on the topic. Many of you seem to think that constantly complaining on Tnet about Brownell is action akin to marching on Washington and that those who don't enjoy such complaints are just accepting our mediocrity. I believe that this is absolutely asinine and you've got just as much chance affecting change tying your complaints to a balloon and releasing it into the atmosphere. All the wailing on tnet is just you guys venting.

Lol. He’s calling me out. Prior to the award system I really only gave out TDs. Most users I find myself agreeing with had very high pulses, usually 100%. So it seemed silly and redundant. I’ve tried to be a little more proactive since the change / rewards system.

It’s a little button on the screen. It doesn’t require a response. It isn’t work. It literally takes fractions of a second. Why do they have it if we aren’t supposed to use it. If I’m not supposed to, why is unlimited use part of paid membership. You seem to care a lot for someone who said they don’t really care.

Then perhaps you should let the powers that be know you support Brad’s dismissal. Because unless TNet changes it’s content rules it isn’t going to ease up until he’s gone. You might get a reprieve after the tourney but it’s going to be scorched earth by next season.

The people who's opinions matter to the administration don't have to express them on a message board. They have Neff's cell or see Clements in meetings or participate in donor forums. Our athletic department isn't perusing Tigernet looking for approval or ideas. These posts aren't action they're group therapy.

I know one of those people and their opinions of our coaches are formed almost whole cloth from #### he reads on here. He had never been to a baseball game but was active in getting Leggett fired. And until a year ago his opinions on Brownell were a regurgitation of Judge Keller’s ########. This site plays a big role in the Clemson community than you realize. And some of these folks wouldn’t consider subscribing to TI. But they slip in and out of here because it’s completely free and they don’t even need an account.
