They could not stop the run. However penn states qb was especially atrocious as was their line. Looked very beatable though fields injury likely led to him fumbling. Imagine hell be close to 100% if and when we play them.

The whole thing with the coot game last year was just a setup after we got the lead. Bama tried to run the same coot copycat plays and threw two interceptions before they figured out it was a setup. That's why Nick was upset about copycat plays.

Outside of his play I saw a lot of good players but I don’t think there’s anyone else on that team that could absolutely give us fits. They’re a good team that would give us a game but I don’t think they match well with us on either side of the ball. I believe that if you take away their run game and force them to beat you with the pass they will not be able to do it against a lot of teams from the south much less ours. They’ve been insulated by playing in the BIG and have not faced the type of team speed they would face against us or several other schools like the two I’m watching right now (TAMU and UGA).

But anytime they ran the ball they were making positive yards and then inexplicably threw a terrible pass.

The only blueprint PSU showed today is win the TO battle by 3 and it might be respectable.
PSU taught me nothing other than DO NOT do what they did. Try something else.
Maybe one week of prep isn't enough, but at least try to limit OSU's best players.
Two things in particular stood out:
1. Continuing to block Chase Young with one guy when he wrecked so many plays was nuts.
2. Not spying on Justin Fields from the start was nuts.
Without the fumbles, it would have been a blowout.
