I’ve watched the NFL playoffs all weekend. Now I’m even more convinced that you cannot win without a mobile quarterback. DJ is a bust because he can’t move and he’s not mobile enough. That’s just the bottom line.

I’ve been saying this all past season as a negative against lack of mobility for DJ. He might can throw the ball from one endzone to the other but if he can’t run he can’t QB for any successful college team.

Brady and Stafford are mobile within the pocket. DJ is not. That is obvious.

“Our” offense needs a mobile QB. We don’t go out and get 5* Oline. Even Trevor had some legs when needed. But as for the NFL if you aren’t mobile you must have an elite arm and the height to look over the OL.
But I’d say we would have been a lot better this year if DJ was even half way decent at throwing.

Watching Mahomes move is the consummate QB... He doesn't move like Deshaun, i.e. a RB, he is mobile when in the pocket, but can haul but when in the open. A fun guy to watch...

All of them have mobility within the pocket. DJ does not. Look at DJ stats versus everyone else. Even against crappy ACC defenses and Clemson recruiting advantages versus all the other ACC teams he had one of the worst quarterback ratings in the country.

Granted -- these dudes had quick releases, decision making, and excellent pre-snap reads.
(Dan Marino would set stupid video game records in today's game and probably have a SB ring.)
If DJ had those qualities, it's another ACC Championship and at least a NY6 Bowl (assuming we still get hit with the injury bug and WRs have stone hands half the time)

Every team in ACC had a Mobil running QB. Several of the teams based their entire offense on a running Mobil QB
