Stackhouse has recruited well, and I'm not surprised since he was a college star and a good NBA player. But the jury is still out regarding his coaching ability. I'm not sold.

Stackhouse has recruited well, and I'm not surprised since he was a college star and a good NBA player. But the jury is still out regarding his coaching ability. I'm not sold.
So when Brad went from winning 22, 15, and then 13 games you were sold on him, but Stackhouse in his third year went from 11-21, to 9-16 to this season 19-17 and an NIT third round. I'd say he is getting better, wouldn't you?

I said I’m not sold on him as a coach. This year was better, but he is yet to break into the top 10 in the SEC.
Forgive me for not thinking every young coach is the next big thing like you do.

You're on record that it's "laughable" that anyone would think Mike Young is a better coach than Brownell. Not sure why anyone would place any stock in your opinion on the topic.

Check out these stats from Newton from ECU. I would put him at top of the wish list for transfers that Clemson has contacted so far. Can shoot, distribute , rebound and defend. Clemson would be so much bigger at the guards having Newton 6-5 at the PG, and Dawes and Hunter, then Tyson and Hall inside. Hopefully already knows of a good NIL package:

Seems like PG and wings are the priority in the portal. I detect that they are looking for the best they can get, but won't be surprised if there is another transfer on the horizon like a Alex Hemenway. My guess is they are trying to find a bigger wing guard to replace Collins, and can also play the point some since Honor transfered, and/or one of both if there is another transfer.

Clemson point guard Nick Honor has entered the transfer portal after spending the past three seasons with the Tigers. The junior point guard averaged 7.7 points and 2.4 assists in 25 games for the Tigers during the 2021-22 season. Honor transferred to Clemson after spending his freshman season at Fordham. After sitting out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer eligibility rules, the point guard appeared in 49 basketball games over the next two seasons for Clemson, with 35 of those being starts.

BTW, Honor has about 7 or 8 teams who have contacted him including three SEC schools: Vandy, Missouri, and SC.

This Sean East is some dynamic lead guard. 6-3 and can really fill it up. Heard that he hasn't scheduled his offical visit to Clemson. Hopefully gets the last visit and really likes it. Scored over 40 pts in Juco Final. Check it out:

previously a stud at VT. Don't know what the story is other than Memphis looking at major probation, but at VT he was outstanding as a freshman. 30 in his first game ever against us. Excellent size, excellent shooter

Yes, I noticed that too. Clemson recruited him out of HS. I have not seen anything about Clemson contacting him yet. He would give Clemson great size at guard. I saw that he might want to go to Texas A&M because Buzz Williams recruited him to Va Tech.

Clemson contacted Central Florida wing guard Darin Green from Central Florida. Green is a really good 3 point shooter and a solid 6-4. This would be a very comparable replacement for Collins. His 13 pts a game would translate well coming from the American Conference. Hope getting JL would help attract Green. He is also from Charlotte so maybe distance matters. I could see him starting along Chase and JL on the perimeter. See link:
