Just imagine how Cade’s parents are feeling right about now….pretty much wasted their son’s freshman season with nothing to show for it…….#1 QB recruit 5 star talent coming out of high school and could have started from Day 1 at probably 90% of the major colleges in the nation….and rides the pine all year behind a guy as bad as DJ…….hope he is on the phone right now with Dabo letting him have it…….telling him they better not hear another word about this “DJ is my guy” crap …..they got to be really PO’ed and I don’t blame them!

I wouldn't bet on it. The silver lining is that Klubnik had a year to learn the offense. I think it's safe to say that Uiagalelei has hit his ceiling, so Klubnik has a good chance to surpass him.

Um, it doesn’t take a year to learn how to hand the ball off up the middle and throw verticals all game. We don’t have an offense as long as Streeter is OC.

It reminds of the guy on here yesterday when we threw a couple bad passes, and he posted that we just need to run the ball and nothing else. Then on a run-focused series where we didn't move the ball, the same guy posted how pathetic it was and that we needed to throw the ball more.. the VERY SAME guy.

You mean in 2 years? DJ still has a year left, he’s not going to the NFL and he knows he’s got a starting job as king as Dabo is king.. why leave?
As far as Cade, I’ve reached the point where I almost hopes he leaves. If he does, it 100% falls on Dabo and that kid honestly deserves better than he’s been treated.

Streeter is awful. The look on his face to the question about pulling DJ says it all. He jumped down the reporters throat for asking the question every person in college football was wondering. DJ produced 13 passing yards in the 2nd half, that is totally unacceptable. DJ is the worst QB in our history, and can’t be gone fast enough, and I wish Streeter would get fired.

Whats crazy is if DJ comes back, like this year, we will have 3 x 5-star QBs in our QB room with Vicenza (misspelled, I know) coming in.
This year we had HJ, DJ, CK.
TP had a TD today for Tech vs UGA.

If you don’t think Cade has the ability and talent to start after this DJ failed project that has already lasted 24 games, then Cade might as well go ahead and hit the portal because obviously he is another 5 star bust like DJ ….I am not buying it for one second that Cade would have not have given us a better chance to win this game today ….because it was pretty frigging obvious in the start of the 3rd quarter DJ was done for the day and offense would not score enough in 2nd half to win this game!

I disagree. Cade is the back-up qb. If the starter isn’t getting the job done, it should be next man up. I just don’t understand people saying he’s not ready or he’s not the best option. DJ passed for 13 yards in the second half! Cade was a top recruit, why not give him a shot. It wouldn’t have been worse.

We shouldn't have a QB that goes 8-29 and doesn't even get 100 yards passing through an entire game as a "top 5" program. Thinking Cade couldn't put up better numbers than that is ludicrous at this point.

Cade did not come in expecting to play a lot this year. He knew this was DJ’s team. From what Dabo said earlier in the year about DJ graduating in December and having a plan, I would think Cade is expecting to play next year. The drama is being created by the fans. If DJ comes back next year, then we might have a QB controversy.

He would be foolish to stay.
1. He got ### on all year.
2. Recruiting will be an all time low under Dabo. With the portal and NIL; the only way Clemson can recruit at a high level is be in the CFP every year. Plus the negative recruiting by other coaches I.e. Clemson will take you from 5 star prospect to maybe getting a job at Boulware’s gym in 3 yrs. And why go to Clemson to be a WR and get 1 target per game
3. Same O.C. that shouldn’t even be coaching little league
4. Same QB coach that turns 5 stars to 2 stars

Honestly, at this point, I hope he does transfer. And I hope he (& his parents) makes it known walking out the door that he simply is not going to be part of a program that is CLEARLY in decline.
As for me, I’m DONE with Clemson football as long as #5 is a member of this team. I know that’s not a popular statement for all of the sunshine pumpers on this board, and honestly, I could absolutely care less. This Kumbaya crap has got to stop.

You know DW did not start many games his freshman year and it was 3 to 5 games into the season before TL won the starting position from Kelly Bryant, whose treated like crap before he transferred out.
Let’s talk about DJ. He has had less talented receivers and TE’s. TL had Hunter Refrow who made a big difference to the WR’s. In 2018 we had Tee Higgins , Amari Rogers. Andre Overton, and Hunter Renfrow. We basically had the same guys in 2019 but still lost to LSU in the NC game. Guys like Tee and Amari and Mike Williams could catch anything. Those WR’s made DE and TL look really great. Ot taking anything away from DW and TL but it helps to have great NFL quality receivers. DJ has had several well thrown balls dropped last year and this year. I am not saying he did not make some bad throws but so has every QB I have watched play at Clemson since Steve Fuller. They all made their share of mistakes.
DJ has not had the same level of WR talent as DW and TL had. Our WR talent level of the 2018 and 2019 group was really great. Plus we lost a key receiver yesterday. I admire DJ for owning up to his flows and what he needed to work on from his mistakes as a first year starter in 2021.
DJ worked harder than anyone in the off season trying to get better. He lost weight, he improved his passing efficiency and had some really good wins this season. He carried the team to a win over a really good Wake Forest team this season.
Our 2 loses this year we’re on the entire team and the coaches. In the 90’s Clemson fans would have been happy with 12 consecutive 10 win seasons and a top BG. But since the our 5 consecutive appearances in the NC game beating Bama twice, winning 6 plus consecutive ACC championships as well as big wins over OU, LSU, Auburn, 7 consecutive wins over SC and graduation rate I believe that was the highest in school history. Historic winning streaks and giving Urban Meyer his only shut loss as a college HC while at OSU.
As soon as DJ and the team started having adversity last year fans slowly jumped off of the Clemson Bandwagon. I admire DJ for his improved performance this season in the face of so much criticism by our fans. He has had some really great games this year and lead us to several wins all the while dealing with dropped passes. He won games with his arm and his legs with key runs. Last year he had to deal with the split of his parents, fan’s criticism and the pressure of filling TL’s shoes.
The Defense had trouble stopping ND’s running game and the coots passing game when it counted. We gave up 2 4th down big plays. I believe both were TD’s. Our offense had key fumbles. Beamer had nothing to lose by playing wide open while Clemson was trying to play their way back into the college playoffs. We had needed to beat SC by at least 21 points for the CFB committee and then best a really good NC team next week.
The media and most of anyone associated with college football already had the Heisman Trophy sitting on DJ’s shelf. He was stepping into the shoes of the best QB in Clemson History, Trevor Lawrence our only 1st round draft pick in school history. That’s a lot to live up to and a lot of pressure to put on any 20 year old kid.
IMO Dabo and his staff did a really good job getting us to 10 wins with chance to add 2 more. A 12-2 season. Most every team we beat this year are or were ranked at in both polls
As for Cade I saw him play and if he were ready I have no doubt Dabo would have replaced DJ. Cade showed flashes of brilliance this year while also showing why he was not the starter. If Cade were my son I would understand why he did not get the playing time many thought he should.
This year Bama was 10-2, OSU who plays nobody but Michigan is 11-1 losing to Michigan two consecutive years. ND was 8-4 and LSU 0-3. Clemson ended the season 10-2 with the chance to win 3 more games. If Clemson played yesterday’s game 10 times we would win 8 or 9 maybe all 10 games. Our kids were under a lot of pressure and made mistakes. We lost by 1 point. It’s hard to beat any team 8 times in a row. If the chickens had played us in 2020 it would have been 8 consecutive wins last year.
I am proud of this team because they fight through so much adversity. So much criticism from our fans, injuries, changes in key coaching positions, a long with The Breese family tragedy. There are some things I am not aware of.
We talk about how the culture is different at Clemson. That we a like one big family. Well that all changed yesterday when people posted on social media that DJ sabotaged this season, he should never step into a football field again. One person offered to buy his ticket back to California.
If you don’t think our coaches and kids don’t read this crap you are fooling yourself. And even more destructive to the future of Clemson Football is that potential recruits read all this BS that was posted yesterday and continues to be posted today.
What do you expect from this team year after year? What do you expect from Dabo.? Many of you complain when we win and really raise he$$ when we lose???

I don’t blame DJ…..I blame Dabo and his yes man Streeter for starting him for 2 years and completely destroying our offense…..all they had to do is at least give Cade a fair shot because the reality of it Cade didn’t even have to be very good to better than who we started at QB for two frigging years….that decision and mistake falls squarely on our coaches…..pride is a terrible thing!

Well some of us aren’t naive as to how competitive Div 1 football is and successfully driven people can be, let’s say, difficult.
Sitting out this year benefitted Cade. Right now he is the pretty girl we can’t have and that makes us want him more. He’s following up a shartshow so if he’s decent is bound to appear an improvement. He also has time to pack on some adult poundage and get reps so all this is good.
The negative would be DJ wins the ACCCG and declares he is returning to Clemson next year. At that point, the Klubnick family will slap the portal button so fast and unlike what some have suggested, it’s not a matter of integrity. They’ve seen their son ride the pine long enough to not take a chance on will Streeter and Dabo give him a chance next year over trying to build DJ’s confidence. That’s all, it’s not complicated. Humans aren’t that way

Could have started from Day 1 at all but 15 schools? Give me a break. More like he would’ve started at about 15 schools from Day 1
