This is a four year rebuild. We had fallen a long way. Anyone who expected immediate results was dreaming in my opinion. The pitching alone will take 2-3 years to be competitive again. There is ZERO talent in the bullpen. Just a bunch of raw armsand I am including the sophomores and juniors in that because See did nothing to coach up pitchers and it shows.

Yep, thanks to See there was no development at pitching whatsoever. I know there were going to be struggles and rebuilding. Just didn’t realize how much.

I'd ever want in a foxhole with me. They cower at the first sign of any adversity. Clemson men are supposed to be better than throwing in the towel after 8 games under a brand new coach. Really sad we have some quitters in our ranks.
Bakich hasn't even figured out the lineup and a pitching rotation, and already some dudes have thrown in the towel. Wow.

I think everyone is on the same page you are, but those that don't follow baseball that much are surprised by the loses. I don't think anyone is calling for the coaches head or throwing in the towel. Just surprised that's all.

Unfortunately it's gonna take this happening for Clemson Baseball to get back to winning again and winning at the highest level and that is until coach Bakich get's all of his own players that he signed and that transferred from Michigan in the lineup playing then we will continue to see what happen the last 2 years and has happen vs Central Florida and now USC-Upstate.

The players are talented, arms are a little shaky right now but we should beat USCU easily and that's the real concern. Question is around players mental state right now because this one hurts some.

I believe it will gets worse before it gets better. Should score more than 3 but dang we are giving up too many runs period.
Expectations are now lowered which is fine. The program was in worse shape than I thought it was.

I knew it was this bad. I watched horrible baseball all last year, and while the baseball is now not horrible overall.. it is just not winning baseball. Pitching is horrible however for the most part.

Jack left the program basically in shambles

And Monte didn’t really do anything to improve it.
Bakich he’s going to be a great coach at Clemson. A lot of people simply had completely unrealistic expectations.

So who's fault was it Jack then Monte to EB or Monte just contienued the downfall of Leggett? I love the monte bashing with zero facts just opinions.
Maybe CU just isn't a baseball school and don't put the money in it to be successful? How about you look at based on resources, scholarships and NIL, then let me know if CU is ponying up to be top 25

USC also is in same place. Look at the SEC West and come back to me about what schools are all in and which schools just try to four a good product on the field

People don't understand the disadvantages CU has in recruitment and how many of these out of state kids are paying big money to be here where other schools they take care of that. This is why it's so hard to be competitive with in state kids. sac is a small state for us to be good we must get top kids all over SE

It's going to take time and this is my opinion, just mine.
CU needs to support the baseball program more with scholarships so we can go get top kids in and then not pay 10-15k a year.
After Grant Cox lawsuit the school cracked down on conditioning and weight training in all sports and I believe you see this big time in baseball and starting to see it in football.
CU has became a little softer in its administration, not like the old days and SEC mentality. It's now give kids the freedoms to secretly tell on coaches for not being treated right, you can't punish kids or run them off for not doing right. That #### doesn't happen in SEC and that's our problem not Monte or EB now

What did he do after the ACC Championship in his first year?
Not a darn thing. That's your answer. People aren't "bashing" Monte... simply stating the facts. Letting Monte go was absolutely justified.

Continue of a downward spiral. Haven’t been to postseason in how long? Standard with this program as it should. Some programs have standards and short leash’s. Clemson baseball is one. If don’t like it get out of here. Can’t wait till bakich and staff proves you and others wrong.

Have you seen our stadium? Have you seen our Fanbase? Clemson is a top baseball program. But we haven’t been putting that type of product on the field. Clearly the problem started under Jack. The program declined precipitously under Jack. Monte didn’t screw it up. He took over a program that was in bad shape. But it continued to decline under Monte. This is objective fact. So I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make.

We've played 8 games. It's ABSURD to act as if we know how the season will turn out. Personally I think we'll see tremendous improvement as the lineup gets figured out and we find a pitching rotation.
8 games is ENTIRELY too early to be trying to make a judgment on the season, especially in baseball. Should go without saying, but apparently some dudes don't comprehend.

I’d rather lose some at the beginning of the season while they’re still putting everything together than at the end when conference games are so important. No, things don’t look good right now but I believe this staff will put a good season together. There will be more losses that will hurt. Not going to bash anyone past or present. GO TIGERS!!!
