Straight forward discussion of simple economic relationships. Depressed oil prices might be a forewarning of a recession.

The bad medicine must be taken to enjoy the economic health to come. To improve the health of the patient, one of the livers must be removed.

There are smart targeted tariffs and then there is this, which in the short term is most definitely not smart and I strongly suspect will not prove smart in the long run.

However, my retirement accounts and I are pulling very hard for Trump to be a genius and me a simpleton.

Doc Ron - thumbs up to you for such an analogy.

Cool story bro. If gas prices stay low no one is going to care. Right now gas prices are down. If they go up then you will have a point and I’ll say nbc was right. People voted for the tariffs on China.
Snapshot of the moment let’s see what happens.
Can’t wait to hear your smart ### fear mongering reply.

I don't think people even thought of the tariffs on China when they voted.

Not to mention on steel or aluminum and countries like Canada, Mexico, EU etc.

Border security was a legitimate issue in 2024.
