I mean honestly why would they. They know more about the sport than him and actually played the game at a high level. Please current DL give Dabo a chance to correct this position before leaving

Ive actually been right next to Wes before and ill take that bet 10/10 times.
I am sure the guy is super nice, but we need a defensive coordinator that
1. Can actually speak from experience. Wes never even really competed at the high school level. Think about how insane that is to say
2. To be a DC you have to instill a level of aggression that your players respect. You have to get your crew ready. At no point in the Goodwin regime have I seen a crew ready for a heavyweight fight.
3. Goodwin is not hired at any other school besides Clemson. I am talking D1 and D2 levels. I understand he knew Bruce Arians, but he simply is not qualified. He is a former baseball staffer who became a volunteer and got to know Dabo eventually leading him to that position.
Dabo made a mistake and you know he sees it. It was telling his remarks after the game. Dabo usually takes up for his staff. That was not in any way a sign of support.
Its only a matter of time.

He’s a closet Jeet Kune Do master. Kinda like Bruce Lee but with a photographic memory. If you’ve been near him before, he remembers the contours of your neck vasculature and could kill you with one finger.

You said "you can tell our players don't respect Goodwin" and then proceeded to give us no examples of how you came to that conclusion....Did a player tell you that? Did you overhear a conversation among the players? Did someone on the Clemson staff say that?
How exactly can you tell they don't respect Wes?

I don’t think respect is the right word. I do think they respect Wes as a person. I also think a lot of of them question his abilities as a coach and coordinator. Multiple times in the past few years you’ve heard defensive players say in interviews.” we just have to trust the coaches.” You never heard that said about Venables.

I have no strong backing of Wes but your argument is devoid of any proof or effort. You likely have a poor knowledge of football and even more so the dynamics of our players/coaches. I have no problem if you don’t like him. But man what a weak post. You didn’t even try that hard—at least I hope you didn’t.
