I would have never in a million years thought that the defense would be carrying us at the start of the year considering everyone we lost. Thank heaven for BV.
Good reality check today for Elliott, Scott, and the overhyped offense (which we are all guilty of). I don’t want to hear any excuses. If they were as good as we and they thought they were we would have been able to dictate to UNC. Not the other way around. Time to swallow the pride and go to work!

Last week against Charlotte we take Lawrence out after the 1st. quarter. Looks like today it showed.

I think we are all SUPER stoked at how the defense is playing...
Calling the offense overhyped though? Idk about that. Sometimes the other team just MAKES plays.
Frustrating to watch? You betcha! Overhyped? Nah, not a believer. Clemson definitely isn't firing on all cylinders which is SCARY to think about when the O comes alive...I still remember the Rob Spence and Billy Napier days (which is really what today felt like seeing them durn screens).
Overhyped to me would be like the 2008 Clemson offense. Coming off of what seemed like endless 9-4 seasons, Tommy Bowden was going to get over the hump because we were to have the BEST offense in the ACC with Cullen Harper, Aaron Kelly, Tyler Grisham, James Davis, CJ Spiller, and freshman Jamie Harper - we did jack squat with that team other than the blessing that led to Dabo Swinney being made the HC at the end of the year.

Not denying we have the talent. I still believe that. But I’m pretty sure all of us can agree it’s not translating to the field like we thought it should. We can still get there but we are a long way from where we all thought we would be.
