We have young talented WR corps now that we’ve been missing and we have a OL coach that knows what he’s doing
That’s more than 95% of college football teams can boast
The defensive product was horrible and I hope that it can be addressed through coaching change, but we have a big part of the puzzle in place

We clearly didn’t trust Jay Hanes or Termite Junior to pass block for CK2. Mafah was an excellent pass blocker. Although Hanes got enough snaps to get experience (along with that experience was some improvement in pass protection), his injury dur8ng the SMU game left us with only one RB that could be trusted to pass block (e.g., the badly injured Mafah).
What killed our RB development plans was our struggles to win our games in the second half of the season. We needed our best players out there in order to compete. Thus, the development of Hanes was slowed, and Mafah just kept wearing down. Depth problems at RB meant either burning the RS for Eziomume or playing guys that were not yet ready to be good enough to win games such as rFR Jarvis Green or Termite Junior.
In other words, we had a serious problem with depth at RB this year. Boy oh boy, did we miss Will Shipley!

A lot of people hated the 2-headed RB and wanted Mafah to be the featured back. Not many of them piping up now…

Don’t forget about the Running game but Davidson will be a great addition but probably too young to insert immediately.

I don't think so. This kid reminds me of Etienne. I have a analogy I use about recruits. They are like the toys you got on Christmas morning. Some of them require assembly, your dad needed to put it together for you. Nothing wrong with that. It may take a little longer, but when they are ready some are the best toys. But some toys, are ready right out of the box. No assembly required, just whined em' up and watch em' go. I like Davidson is a toy that is ready right out of the box.

We have only 3 real concerns for next year

Outside of retaining the talent we have, as I see it we have only three concerns for next year.
1. Defense needs an overhaul. We need a new DC, LB and Safties Coach.
2. Our running back and running game. We need to get a RB from the portal as Haynes may not be ready to come back. Randal maybe a good stop gap measure, but he is probably not the complete answer there. And it is obvious we dont have anyone in that room that can take over.
3. We absolutely have to have a Special Teams Coordinator. The NCAA lifted on field coaching limits and there is no excuse to not have one now.

next year with an improved OLine and a really solid running game. Want to see him run the offense when he doesn't have to feel like it's on his shoulders.

Our OL is peaking next year and will not fall off much from between the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
I’m cautiously optimistic that a much broader RB group, assuming that Adam Randall sticks it out with us and that Jay Hanes makes a complete recovery from ACL surgery by the time that summer off-season routines commence. Eziomume and Jarvis Green may prove to be ready to contribute. Maybe Davidson and / or Marquis Henderson will surprise us and be ready to take some snaps before the first half of 2025 season has elapsed.
In summary, I’m highly confident that all the pieces will be in place for CK2 to have a tremendous year in 2025. Along with CK2, Clemson FB will have an excellent team if the punting and tackling problems are not so severe.

We can have a great offense with an improved running game.

More than anything we need something to change on defense, obviously, but if we improve the running game and defense there’s no reason to think we can’t advance in the playoffs. We scored enough yesterday to advance, but obviously that was a terrible defensive showing.

Cade is definitely going to be good enough. The WR's will be good enough. I bet the OL will be good enough. We will find out about RB. The D sucks.
