I follow college football closely from a comfortable retirement perch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Today’s 247 Arizona Wildcat site says BIG presidents and ADs are tonight on zoom call to evaluate immediate invite options.
Option 1 is to add Oregon and Washington deemed a sure thing
Option 2 adds 4 with those two plus U of Cal and Stanford and is deemed doubtful
Oprion 3 adds 4 of Oregon, Washington AND UVA and UNC and is being deemed innovative and forward looking.
Any new member(s) will come with a reduced revenue share for first few years with BIG funding to help offset exit costs from existing conferrnce affiliations and obligations.

Not hardly as UofA sits in Tucson about 150 miles south of our place. We are 10 miles from ASU Sun Devil stadium.
I think that rumored move to raid ACC is near brilliant. Both UVA and UNC are simpatico with BIG academics and olympic sports history. Plus the BIG is flush with cash to help get them out.

We just now see Arizona Board of Regents are to meet tomorrow night with 1 agenda item. “Discussion on University Athletics”
That tells me Wildcats and Sun Devils are jumping to Big 12 asap.
