What is your Deshaun Watson TD?

For me hands down the TD run against South Carolina in Williams-Brice, in 2015.
Where he dove to the corner of the pylon and scored.
That was one of the most athletic plays I’ve ever seen him make.
Pump faked a player to start the play and then off to weaving through coots.
It was the greatest thing I’ve seen since Cam Newton had that great TD run against LSU.
I don’t care if I was never ever a Clemson fan
Deshaun Watson would still have been the most intriguing and exciting player I’ve watced in CFB the last 20 years at least. Because he actually matched his performance with championships.
You could obviously pick the Renfrow TD
But I’m talking about when he displayed his arm or athleticism in any game

I was at that game with my nephew! I remember turning to him and saying, I've never seen a Clemson Quarterback make a pass like that!

Yes... nothing beats orange crush.... but I wasn't amazed by it. It is what I expected from those two. The pass in his first appearance as a true freshman vs UGA blew me away. Thats all I was saying.

How could it possibly be anything else? Given the setting, the circumstances (come from behind with 2.09 to play), for Dabo's first National Championship, etc. Holy Cow!

Standing silent in awe was the appropriate reaction lol
And I would’ve called the “Deshaun Deer Jump 2” as if it were a sequel
I haven’t seen anyone else mention the first, so I will hold my tongue to see who remembers the first

Yes, that’s the one I remember most. Broke the streak against our rivals. The next Monday, I walked into the office where two of my Coot colleagues were bemoaning that he beat them with a torn ACL, and that the next four years were not going to be pretty.
Both ladies were major donors & one had a son who played for them. They tried to clam up when they saw me coming, but I heard enough. And they were right to be concerned.

This is exactly the type of thing you get to enjoy if you are an actual fan for Clemson
And indeed, those next 4 years weren’t.
Think of how they felt when Trevor Lawrence took the starting job from KB lol

Wasn't that the year he beat the coots on one leg and guaranteed Clemson wouldn't lose to them on his watch?

No that was 2014, in Death Valley at noon
We were in all orange
But this, this is what sold my actual heart on Deshaun Watson
To put himself in that situation, and to even then accept play calls drawn up to have him leap into a dog pile for a TD
That is putting your future livelihood and happiness in major risk
Especially knowing what his life was coming up with his Mother and Aunt.
I honestly wouldn’t have been mad if he chose to not go.
I will not let that ever go without honor, and that occurrence ought to be told for hundreds and thousands of years to every Clemson fan

Hard to pick just 1 but honestly, most fans knew he was not "ordinary" when he put that ball thru a keyhole @ uga in '14. Watson is to Clemson football what MJ is to basketball. There will never be another one like him.

Nail on the head
Non ordinary is exactly the description he deserves
And yeah I agree sadly. I think we’re all fortunate to have seen our football program elevated and transformed by, mostly, a single player

And that's absolutely no offense to Lawrence either. He was really good too, but Lawrence had a defense that propped him up until he could mature. Whereas Watson was Jordan-esque in that he carried the team & made those around him better.
