players. If the payouts get high enough, why would you want to turn pro ? As a pro, you have to perhaps be where you do not want to be, sign a contract, report for work, be disciplined, etc. With this mess, you are a free agent 24/7. We have not yet even begun to see the ramifications. Insanity.

College is definitely an easier game than the NFL as well. Why give up on being the stud when you are getting paid for it? If TL16 was getting Arch Manning level money to be at Clemson he would have been there for us this year and would still have the opportunity to go down to the Jaguars again this year. If TL16 is under center this year are there any doubts we don't have another game come Monday?

actually envision a four year player who played at A DIFFERENT SCHOOL EVERY BLOOMING YEAR!
Have a good year, start a bidding war. Rinse and repeat. Exactly what Caleb Williams is trying to do right now.

They can't transfer every year without either applying for a waiver or sitting a year. After you burn your "free transfer" you have to apply for the waiver or sit.
The NCAA Division I Council ratified a new rule on Wednesday that will allow athletes in all sports to transfer once without sitting out a year in residence.
The decision will primarily affect student-athletes in the five traditional “revenue sports:” baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, football and men’s ice hockey. Long-standing NCAA rules have in the past prevented athletes in these five sports from playing in their first year after transferring. However, under the NCAA’s new transfer rule, athletes from all sports will be allowed to transfer once without being required to sit out their first year. Athletes who play fall and winter sports must notify their schools of their transfer decision by May 1 of the preceding year, and spring sport athletes must notify their schools by July 1.
