funny, this liberal believes in all of the same things, and but I am feeling salty
when ti comes to free marketsm the consolidation of the finance sector, merger of 1000's news networks, major corporations merging into a handful of monopolies that drowned out small businesses, and wreck less government spending were Reagan's greatest legislative accomplishments, it's the gop's dirty little secret.
restrained government, not sure we have had this since the transistor.
Individual liberties, neither party holds up their end here, although progressives seem a little more stubborn about allowing social Darwinism to strengthen the gene pool with over regulation.

But post-MAGA, I have far more in common with my liberal hippie brethren when it comes to individual liberty/freedom than I do with MAGA populists. Same as MAGA populists have more in common with Democrat progressives than they do with Goldwater Republicans.

At some point you'd think MAGA would do some self introspection about what makes them so predisposed to believing completely made-up crap just because it tickles their nativist bone. It's like when NJDEV fell for one of the most obvious photoshops on the planet. You'd think he'd say, "Hey hey, maybe I'm not intellectually or mentally trustworthy to 'do my own research' since my BS filter is non-existent." Except in this case, it would be something like, "Maybe Jesus wouldn't like me spreading racist rumors because it helps the guy who I want to get elected even though he's an atheist philanderer who only sees my faith as a bag of cash to steal."

Yea, cats and dogs and other animals we think of as pets in the US are eaten by people in many parts of the world - especially in rural areas. Vietnam, China, and even in Haiti.
What does that have to do with Springfield?

It’s certainly plausible that the more immigrants from countries where at least some people eat kitties and puppies - it’s plausible that a kitty or doggy could get eaten. It’s also plausible that no doggies or kitties have been eaten in those communities by legal or illegal immigrants.
But Trump said the pvssies and doggies were getting eaten and all I’ve seen is a dude walking around with Tiny Tim’s Christmas goose in a town that isn’t Springfield”.
