Seems to be a decent pitcher but I’m not too worried. He’s not their ace. Let’s hope we make good contact with our bats against him today. I can see us scoring some runs against this dude but I can also see us making this pitcher look like a pitcher of the year contender.

2.90 ERA, 55 IP, 69 SO. 18 appearances, but only 7 games started. I bet he's got good stuff. Guessing they'll hope for 2 times through the lineup and turn it over to their pen. If we get to him early that would be big.

Looks like he is their version of Titsworth. Started off in the pen and earned his way into a starting job.

I watched him chunk against cincy. Kids got good stuff. Yes, you're right, became the defacto starter when kippen (or however you spell it) went down with injury. Very similar situation to Darden going down.
I've watched pieces of several of their games. West Virginia is a good team. We got a tough draw even though we didn't get a hot streak sec team like vandy several years ago.
They were locked in to host but had a later season slump like we did. Only reason they got knocked out was sos and rpi wasn't as high as ours was... so yes, we need to work counts and get his count up. They have everyone available as they only used 2 pitchers. And the relief guy is good. Only threw 25 pitches.

I won’t I have seen our hitting too much to believe we can hit this guy. It is more likely he looks like a 1st round pick and dominates our hitters .

We'll see what happens, but I'd like to get off to a faster start. Seems like 80% of the time all our runs come after the 5th or just in 1 inning or 2

He looks like he lives in a cabin outside of town and comes down the mountain to throw baseballs a few times a week
