LSU national championships

LSU recognizes 3 national championships: 1958, 2003, and 2007.
1958 beat us in NOLA in bowl game 7-0. (They were crowned after the regular season and we were ranked 12 at the time though)
2003 beat Oklahoma in NOLA
2007 beat Ohio State in NOLA
In their 3 national championships they played their final game in NOLA and beat each of the 3 teams in the playoffs this year.... one heck of a coincidence.

LSU last National Championship was 2007. They lost 2 freaking games that year yet were still crowned Champions. If we can claim a National Championship for every 2 loss season then our programs history is even more storied than I thought

Well, basically everyone save kansas lost 2 games that year.
But here is the thing, OU is a team that is built to play LSU this year. LSU better not be sleeping or we are play Hurts again

you're right, Kansas and Hawaii both finished with one loss, should have gone to one of them.

Im not liking that...may just be their year. This is one reason I hated to not play them in the semifinals...not a favorable draw to play the title game in NOLA.

someone had brought this up a few weeks ago, but playing in NOLA didn't work out for them last time they played for a title, so we shall see how things shake out.
