Seems like bammers needs to worry about their recruits and not whine about ours and take shots at package deals.

Yes.. Dag-gum-it. I overheard the coaches

talking the other day. They said something on the lines of " We can't counter offer them because we still have to save up for Nkemdiche on signing day."
Seriously, we all knew it would be hard to keep Reuben when he moved into Auburns back door with all those connections to the University. Its a loss, but not one that will change the program or anything. Still sucks though, I loved the way he played..

I am curious, was he a strong hold for Alabama until the move. I mean just moving that close to Auburn shouldn't change things. We lost a DT the other week from our backyard to Ohio State?
Was this Reubens plan all along?
Do you guys think that you can swing him back?
And I heard that Foster was part of a pacakge deal with another top LB who was most likely going to Georgia and now he may flip to Auburn and they are gonna bring a few others. I'm kinda jealous lol lot of good players going to Auburn

He was committed to Bama for a year. He was recruiting for Bama at all the camps he went to. He was trying to sway his buddy for Georgia to flip to Bama. At one time he was considered one of our biggest recruiters.
It all changed when his coach got fired at Troop. He was going to move to another high school in Georgia but ended up at Auburn high school instead. That's when it started getting a little crazy. Auburns assistant coach Trooper Taylor has a son that plays football at Auburn high school, therefore pretty much giving him constant access to Reuben all the time with no NCAA violation. The coaches are all big Auburn leans as well. It was a disaster for Bama from the get go.
I am not sure we will flip him back. Obviously Saban is not going to just sit back, but we are in really good shape with 5 star LB Matthew Thomas out of Florida. We also have Jonathon Allen who is a 5 star on 247sports that will be a LB. I do find it really strange that Fosters speech is the exact same speech that TJ Yeldon gave last year when he flipped to Bama. (I wonder who wrote that). lol Oh well, its teenagers, you never know what your going to get.
The package deal was with Safety,Trey Matthews. He is committed to UGA. Them and a couple more, (Shaq Wiggins and Alvin Kamara) have been saying that they will be playing with each other in college. I think they are just trolling but I guess we will see.

Thanks for the info.
Now, I just cant believe that if he was such a huge recruiter for Bama, that he would flip all because of moving to this high school. Something else must be going on. I never once thought he would turn on Bama. He committed to them early in the process and was solid.
I dont like that Coach Trooper Taylor (sp). Never have. Always waving that towel around.

Did Bama stop recruiting him or something. Did they think he was solid and started focusing on other players?

he is surrounded by everything "Auburn" right now. (If that makes sense). His coaches, teammates, classmates, everything... I will tell you this though, it would not suprise me one bit if he didnt do it because he just wanted them off his back. It sure would suck to have to listen to everyone for a year about playing for Auburn. Its would be just like someone that is 10 minutes from Clemson to committ to South Carolina. It would not be fun and now he don't have listen to it. I would love for him to flip back on NSD though. haha

I can accept Bama loading up. that is just a given.
I just would rather they totally load up and not let Auburn and Georgia and Florida load up.
Not thrilled about this class Auburn is putting together. They are gonna be tough to stop in a cuople of years.
I still dont think Chizik will get the job done though

WOW. Insider Info

A very, very reliable source on BOL (Bama Online) posted this a few minutes ago. I know many people think that internet talk is just that, but when this guy posts, people listen. No one knows who he is but when he gives on info, its 100% reliable.
-----------------------------------------------------
Reuben Foster- You could see today's events coming from a mile away once Foster chose to attend AUHS over Oxford. As a fan base, we need to be careful what is said about RF. It is a long way from NSD and today's events were a reaction from a phone call that Foster received from the UA staff Tuesday night telling him it was time to "learn what a commitment was and it was time for the visits and double talk to end."

If your a committ, then be one. If not, open it back up. Saban has a philossphy that he tells every recruit. "You shop around, we shop around"

Man, isn't this the same thing that all the other fan bases bashed our coach for saying. Seems like Bama doesn't like when recruits take commitment and taking other visits lightly.... amazing.
