Wouldn't it be easier to start all your 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year players? Call them instrumental team leaders? And hire and hang out with lifetime friends & proteges and pay them salaries they could not dream of at other schools?

No thanks. Facilitating and coaching 25 new portal players in addition to freshmen recruits sounds like way too much work.

I agree and Pearman deserves a raise. He's done a fine, fine job in protecting our culture from the evil portal. It must be so difficult for him. I sure hope his $250k a year to coach his kid brings him some comfort.
