Which part of this is a "ghetto"

Oct 4, 2012, 2:13 PM

Would really like to know. You do realize the Farmers Market is gone and the Fairgrounds were replanted three years ago?

“The horseshoe is one of the best sites we’ve ever had for College GameDay,” said Lee Fitting, College GameDay Sr. Coordinating Producer. “The picturesque collegiate backdrop creates the perfect setting for the show. Given the fact that a highly-ranked Georgia team is coming to town, it will only add to the excitement of Saturday morning.”

is a copy of things others have done; but then the average IQ in DooDooIceville doesn't allow for original thinking...

Re: You do realize that everything you coots do

Oct 4, 2012, 2:30 PM

Actually I'd like to see something comparable to the New Farmers Market. Every site also has cable and electric. Saturday also includes a concert by Billy Currington before the game (no comment on that...not a huge fan).

I haven't seen anything like it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

" haven't seen anything like it. " That's what I say

Oct 4, 2012, 2:45 PM

everytime I go through Columbia. I know it's tough when you are compared to God's Country but really you guys need to level it and start over. Go Tigers!

This has to be copied and pasted... We all no that know coot can spell "picturesque"... laughable at whoever actually said this in the first place. Not sure if the Gameday guy is too nice or just blind...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oct 4, 2012, 2:55 PM

Pretty ironic you say we can't spell "picturesque" yet you can't comprehend what you read. The Sr. Producer said it.

Honest question: Have you ever been/seen the horseshoe?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The Horsehoe is a single, tiny, place on USC's campus....

Oct 4, 2012, 3:01 PM

...and then there's nothing more. The rub is you only have *1* scenic place on the entire USC campus to choose from...Clemson has a never ending supply.

Been there and have seen it and didn't think it was anything spectacular. Never claimed you said it, just that the quote must have been copied and pasted. Notice I said that what the Gameday guy said was laughable. Nice comprehension by you as well sir...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

take pictures of about 1/4 of the surrounding stadium pretend all of it looks like that.

Post about the horseshoe as if it is near the Stadium when it is miles away.

FAIL

Your stadium is in a #### area.

Miles away? You mean 1 1/2 miles away. Love the spin.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow, you spent 31 million dollars to make....

Oct 4, 2012, 3:03 PM [ in reply to Which part of this is a "ghetto" ]

the area around your stadium look like Clemson. I'm flattered.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Wow, you spent 31 million dollars to make....

Oct 4, 2012, 3:09 PM

Um, that area is much nicer than most of what Clemson has to offer with the nice restrooms, hookups for satellite, power, etc., common areas for concerts. Clemson is rural and benefits from the big trees and open areas. They also have big mud pits when it rains because little has been done to specifically accommodate tailgating.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good Grief.....FGF---your village is missing

Re: Which part of this is a "ghetto"

Oct 4, 2012, 3:10 PM [ in reply to Which part of this is a "ghetto" ]

Sure, the fairgrounds look real nice in those pics. The problem is when you zoom out a bit and notice that it's located in a crapped out warehouse district.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why do you think they have the set miles from the stadium?

Oct 4, 2012, 3:11 PM [ in reply to Which part of this is a "ghetto" ]

Usually Gameday is within a short walk to the stadium. When they go to SCar they have to be miles away to find something worthwhile as a backdrop.

Is SCar putting the Gameday Crew up at the Whitney? I hear they give a great rate.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Why do you think they have the set miles from the stadium?

Oct 4, 2012, 3:14 PM

They were going to have it at the new farmers market right across the street from the stadium but there is a pre-concert already scheduled there.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You really believe that?

Oct 4, 2012, 3:18 PM

What concert will be from 9-12 am?

If the artist is small enough to play a tailgate, the University would have moved them if Gameday wanted the spot.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You really believe that?

Oct 4, 2012, 3:19 PM

It is Billy Currington...not exactly a small garage band.

Yeah, can't imagine why he would want to play in an area where there will be 100+ thousand people and guaranteed air time on ESPN.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, I'm sure 100k people will be in that parking lot ***

LMAO. The artist is Country Artist Billy Currington. He's only had 6 number ones. (sidebar: I'm not a huge fan).

And the reason it's not there is the show, booked months in advance, is sponsored by Lowes.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Have you been to the Whitney lately?

It's a sh!thole of a hotel now.

LinebackerU, thanks for bringing the new coots out. Now I can ignore them as well. Go Tigers and this week Go Dawgs.
