Replace basketball with soccer and I would take that option.

If basketball won a National Championship, I truly believe Armageddon or the sun exploding would occur before Clemson cut the net down. And neither sounds that appealing to me currently.

I’ve always had fun on coming up with various (some off the wall), “what if” scenarios in life events or in sports, with friends and family. Many of mine are like, would you do this, in order to get that, type scenarios. Honestly, I don’t know which I would choose with the example I asked today. Was curious what y’all would answer.

My “what if” fantasies started in May, 1980 while laying in a metal bunk, in the Charleston heat, with no A/C, lamenting about getting yelled at all day and praying I could just go to sleep …

Depends. Maybe the following year we would win it in football. Probably football though. Baseball and softball aren't really that important, but when you combine them with basketball it is interesting. We always have a chance in football though. Tough call.

I prefer the 3 over the 1 football championship. Football is the only one that has a chance at a championship normally, so we don’t need to deal in hypotheticals there.

You have to be successful in football for the other sports to thrive
The revenue generated by winning a natty in football would probably be 5x more than the combined revenue of championships
Of those you listed . Just a guess

Most do not follow softball and basketball is something to make January and February go by faster

it's just so important for me to see the football CFP run gains to be allocated across the whole department so that we run out of money and can't gamble/compete in the NIL bidding wars

I’d rather see the trifecta. Our football team is a regular contender so they would probably be back in contention sooner than the other 3.
