We are now at an hour 20 of the 5th grade graduation ceremony and there is a teacher reading a picture book called
"Be You"
I have 8 thousand pages minimum of government agendas left to read today

things. This is just the beginning.
I saw the other day a "Humans of New York" post where the young white girl was like, "I just want to be paid [but of course she means six-figures and not a non-profit salary] to bring love into the world."

Here's the exact quote:

"Lately I’ve been trying to figure out: what is the meaning of all this, what am I here for, why does this all exist? I just want to figure out what to do with my life; basically. I currently work for a consulting firm implementing software for companies going through major reorganizations so they can track important milestones across different work streams and organize those key performance indicators into reports that will help them run more efficiently and maximize shareholder value. What I’d like to do? Find a way to get paid to bring more love into the world. I’m just not sure exactly how to do that yet."
Girl. You want the spoils of charity without actually having to pay or sacrifice for it. I bet her charitable giving is less than 1% of her salary.

when we didn't graduate from kindergarten, or 5th grade, or 8th grade? You know what I got when I finished those grades? Oh, those were banner fucking years at the old Bender family. I got a carton of cigarettes. The old man grabbed me and said, "Hey, smoke up Johnny." All right? So go home and cry to your Daddy. Don't cry here, okay?

You didn't eat enough rocks on the playground to kill yourself or walk out in front of a bus. Have a sticker.

Lord I hope you meant 2 and not 20...
I had to sit through a "Elementary" one last year. It was over 2 hours. Maybe like 200 kids involved. But the amount of presentation, performance, then personal accolades for each kid.. It was nuts. Gearing up for kid number 2 this coming Tuesday.
I mean it was nuts in my opinion to have something like this to begin with. Let the kids moving on march around the halls one more time high fiving teachers. Especially for Elementary and Middle School. At this point, and what has been achieved, I think that is good enough.

that year's graduating seniors from the 2 county HS's to parade through the halls of the county elem school they went to, in cap and gown. The little kids and the graduates get a kick outa that. This year, her school made lil laminated cards with the graduate's name and 5th grade picture, which they clipped on their gowns.
