Then Clemson can stomp Pitt and there won't be a need to be concerned about a 3-way tie. Of course, Clemson must take care of business elsewhere as well. However, I want Clemson to upset Miami in Charlotte and show the nation that the "U" is far from being back. While I believe Mario Cristobal is a decent coach, he is nowhere near the caliber of coach that Dabo is.

It is much better for the national recognition if SMU is a really good team. Will SMU ever be in the conversation with Texas or A&M, maybe not, but if they are a strong 3rd in Texas, that is huge for the ACC and it's perception.

Narduzzi puts his CB's on an island. If a QB doesn't handle the blitz well or is able to get it to the open receiver efficiently versus man coverage they are in trouble.
Will be something to see how that shakes out. SMU could have a more than capable backup QB. But, Narduzzi has to be salivating at the opportunity to find out what a either banged up starter can do or a backup can do against some of the pressure his defenses will present.

I agree 100% with you VB. The Dallas/Fort Worth area being in the ACC is great.
But, Pittsburgh has a lot of potential in it's own right. Pitt last won a National Championship in 1976(I believe) and they have the most in the ACC with 9.
I like to see both doing well. I believe if you saw Pitt enter the national picture again, especially being in a big industrial city all the history will be brought up. Some of the ESPN analyst and writers from other news outlets will have to rekindle the fact Pitt should be considered a blue blood based off what it has done. 9 is more than multiple so called blue bloods in the SEC for example. Way more in fact.

Only problem there is then we have to rely on ACC tie-breakers assuming Clemson and Miami and SMU don't lose in conference.
