To 8.5 million to help pay for OC. I think would be a great gesture as he once did when BV can in. I’m sure he is listening.?

Dabo had the chance to hire outside OC and DC but he promoted within which had not worked out in either case so far. So yes have to hold him accountable for at least the OC mistake at this time. The defense was a huge disappointment this past season also with the talent we had. Unless Wes gets in gear he will also have to chance that move.

The defensive line under achieved by a huge margin (Eason) and we had some inexperience on the backend. Overall I grade him at a B at this point. The scheme was fine but never had a true leader on the field this year. Players were not standing around waiting for the play to come in which was nice to see as well. I would think a coach would groom his coaching staff to be able to promote them at a future date.

The rushing defense was 13th.
Shore up the secondary, and we're a top 10 defense.
With what we brought back in on the DLine I was very disappointed. My expectations may have been a little too high. Best rushing team we played had 263 yards against what had been touted as one of the best DLines in the nation.

Been in the program since 2014… not a mistake imo. If I had a guy that was in my program that long and we were like minded on how to run the offense I’m hiring him everyday.
Got to love hindsight it’s always 20/20.

My Iptay is going up from $3600 to $4200. So yes we all are paying coaches salaries. This is a far cry from the $30 I started with. Poor ole Frank Howard just made gas money and had to be janitor part of time. I lost some respect for Dabo when he accepted the new contract of Over 10 million per year. We do not receive the money that the SEC and BIG 10 do. This comes out of the pockets of every little donor that Clemson is made up of. We don’t have medical people and lawyers and bankers kicking in money like many do. It’s the little guy that has got Clemson where it is today. If you alienate the little guy then Clemson will not be Clemson. You saw the attendance at the Orange Bowl that was 5 times more Tenn. There was a reason for this. The little guy is running out of money.

Iptay goes to scholarships, and education is not getting any cheaper. I’m fairly certain the tv money pays his salary.

The attendance at the Orange Bowl is not about finances. It’s about the fact that it was the biggest bowl game for Tennessee in decades, and for us fortunate Clemson fans, it was no big deal compared to the CFP run the past 7 years.

I honestly did not have the finances this year. I would not have gotten to a playoff game either. I can’t speak for others that skipped out. Felt terrible but not been a great year for me personally.

You must not have to pay Iptay dues.
What’s my paying Iptay dues got to do with with them going to schollies. We have added more sports and the cost is not going down. I wouldn’t think people would expect them to stay the same.

When did Dabo take a paycut (other than Covid pay reductions)? Don’t recall that.
Not only is this a ridiculous idea, it’s also unnecessary. The money is there, we are paying one OC instead of two, and there is a big savings in salary from Venables to Goodwin.

Yes, I think that it is that he took less of an increase at one point, so the pool for assistants could be larger. But he never took a pay cut. (Nor should he. Though I would hope we are done with raises for a few years!)

I’m 75 years old and have been retired for awhile. I’m making my payments with social security. Watch what I say, Clemson is beginning to eliminate the little guy that followed Danny Ford around with one of the best fan support of the day. That Danny Ford group is in my financial condition. They did not go to the Orange Bowl this time. Let’s see how many of the young crowd are going to be that loyal.

On the flip side just about all of the upper deck was sold out this year. Success comes at a price. If you want to pay $30 a ticket then pull for Furman or Wofford. If you want to swim with the sharks then anty up or get left behind. You can’t have it both ways in this arms race.

And I get it. You’re on a fixed income and most of us will soon be in that position. I truly sympathize with you That’s life and you have to give and take. I’m sitting this Duke game out because I waited too long and tickets are over $120 and climbing. Supply and demand my friend.

Just go to a lower tier. I hate you feel you have to spend the same amount you were when you were not on a fixed income. Sometimes you just have to adjust. No shame in that. I will be in that position soon enough.
