Worried about our recruiting at Runningback…

For the last 2 years straight we have absolutely missed on all our guys we went after. Heck we should have had a few good ones in a row here since Ettiene brought us recognition at the position, but last year we settled for kieth Adam’s son who is average at best! Now we have missed on every kid this class and that proves correctly due to the recent offered 2 local kids that in my opinion run 4.7 40s. That’s just not gonna cut it at the next level! What’s going on here? I’m hearing Spiller just isn’t a good recruiter. Does anyone else know why we are struggling since the class with Shipley and Pace/Mafa

Anyone wanna tell this guy ETN was an overlooked three star??? Shipleys one of the first 5 star RB we’ve signed that was actually successful. Recruiting highly rated RB hasn’t ever been the norm ?♂️?♂️

ETN was a top 10 running back and 4 star. Choosing clemson over LsU in the final 3 weeks of his services. Now we are competing with James Madison and app state! Like come on!

Ranked in all recruiting sites….these last 2 guys aren’t even a 2 star guy……and there is a reason for it

Are you honestly comparing that to our RB recruiting lately?
ETN had 20+ offers from D1 schools, including Alabama and LSU.
Far cry from 2 offers, including James Madison.
I am not saying there is no chance that Keith Adams Jr might end up being a good RB, but to load your roster with projects after missing out on every big-time RB you offer?
Same thing with WR but some of you don't believe even after you see the drops.

promoting insiders based solely on the fact that they played at Clemson will do.
That being said............the Dutch Fork kid has speed to spare and that's EXACTLY what this offense is missing, so.....I don't think it's a bad pickup...........I get your point and it's valid........AT SOME POINT we need to land the "ELITE" offensive player, but this particular RB I don't see as being a "wasted" scholarship.................definitely better than filling a void with some Daniel High School walk-on.

Do you not pay attention to college football at all ? I don’t get all these BS posts about spiller … he’s honestly imo one the best position coaches we have and that room may be the most productive and you can see the development , it really blows my mind… we have two great backs that are only soph so with the landscape of college football you think we are just gonna pull a couple highly ranked guys that are fine with sitting for a year possibly two if either ship or mafah return which wouldn’t surprise me if one or both choose to stay 4 years … rb is the position you see kids leave bc it’s the one position you are guaranteed to get the ball a good bit during a game , this spiller crap is getting old and honestly pretty embarrassing

For all we know next season could be their last. Spiller hasn't been recruiting very well, for whatever reason.

Ok and that’s what you pitch to higher rates recruits … playing time , ship and mafah are getting all the Carrie’s next year and that’s a fact so what highly ranked running back is coming right now this is not a thing with just Clemson, it’s college football now and if they do come and transfer bc they got 12 Carrie’s all year what’s the point … and I’d be willing to bet one of those guys, either ship or mafah , return for a 4th year that’s when you get a super talented youngin to run with one of those guys … I can’t wait to revisit this BS in a year or two … just don’t get the thought process saying he can’t recruit like pay attention to the landscape of college football kids, especially at rb , are not goin somewhere where they know they aren’t playing early
