There is a tentative release date of July 19 for the first EA Sports college football video game since 2013, and there is expected to be multiple cover athletes.
"Each cover athlete is a current college football player who plays in a different power conference," Brown wrote in an update Monday, via Extra Points. "There was plenty of internet speculation that the cover athlete could potentially be a coach (Nick Saban?), or any number of athletes that played during the years the game was not released (previous Heisman winners?) or even fans/mascots (the Oregon Duck?!?).
"Those were reasonable guesses, but I’ve been told that the athletes will be current athletes … people you will see play actual college football this season."

The Post and Courier's Jon Blau did a deeper dive into the video game from a Palmetto State angle recently as well:
Rendering a venue like Clemson's Memorial Stadium or South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium is a painstaking process. The instructions sent to universities outlined where 20 cameras should be placed along a stadium's sideline, plus one at midfield. The sideline cameras rotate 45 degrees after each shot, which means eight photos to get the full 360, while the camera at the field's center rotates 22.5 degrees. That's another 16 images.
Next, there were 20 points where cameras were set at the top of each seating deck, taking images picture by picture, 45-degree turn by 45-degree turn.
All "unique features" of the stadium have to be captured, as well, which could mean everything from a video board to a manhole cover in a tunnel.
Clemson sent well over 1,000 images to help EA Sports render a virtual Death Valley, including a detailed scan of Howard's Rock atop the stadium's hill and updated shots of a recently added video board and tunnels. A couple dozen audio clips were also recorded, including what plays over the PA system when team buses arrive at the top of the hill, what the band plays on third down, and the crowd chanting "Let's go, Ti-gers" during timeouts.
There's also a clip of coach Frank Howard's famous pregame reminder that "If (they're) not going to give 110 percent, to keep their filthy hands off my rock."

Just wish they would've put it on PS4 too 😂
Well, at least by the time I get my hands on the title it'll have updates to fix any opening day issues.

......and I didn't even care. Fun to play back then. The recruiting you had to do in Season Mode was not that much of a challenge. The only frustrating thing about it was when the next starter in line for any random position wanted to transfer because of playing time. Which was bizarre because they saw playing time in the game. Go figure 🙄🙄😀😀

So who do they pick from the ACC for the cover?

Most of the top QBs are transfers.

They won’t choose a QB from ACC. If I read it correctly there won’t be positional overlap between conferences for cover athletes. I have to imagine they’d choose Ewers or sanders for a QB.

It'll probably be something in line with prestige rating or some sort of cap based on school size/success.
There's a mobile app CFB game that's decent where they have NIL for recruiting but it's not something that's renegotiated each season.
I wouldn't be mad if they had a way to toggle it off for Dynasty tho.

The only unique features of Williams Brice Stadium are the exits.

I hope the video game depicts the chicken ####### leaving in the 3rd quarter.
