The competitive balance will be so imbalanced it will be just 6-8 super powerful teams and lots of Vanderbilt and Northwesterns.
The belief that unlimited folks will watch with just 6-8, may be 10 teams that are powerful and rest just L's on schedule will not pan out in a few years.

Has not worked out...BIG is crowded with losers...Wisconsin, NW, IU need more remedial programs...that will be the next big move in 'College' football...get rid of the academic albatross hanging around the necks of these 'Student' athletes...has never gotten in the way of FSU! Vandy and NW win the SAT bowl for their conferences...coots can't even spell SAT!

Number 1, there is no "Super Conference". Number 2 there will be no salary cap because college athletes are not professional with owners. Number 3, there will be no equal revenue sharing because this is the United States, not Communist Soviet Union from 60 years ago.

There is equal revenue sharing in NFL. This and salary cap are the reasons there is some competitive balance in NFL. Otherwise I see a few strong teams, rest will be just there to provide easy/easier wins for the super teams.

We are in the “hostile takeover” phase. It will stay unregulated until that phase is complete and the B1G and SEC breakaway and hire a commissioner. The pro-50 Big-SEC breakaway pro league will ultimately struggle down the road. How did the USFL and all other alternate pro leagues to the NFL fare? It will take time for the fall because the college fan base loyalty will follow the school’s name for awhile. But this 50 breakaway will dilute the interest base down considerably. Once (if) these universities allow ownership of college teams, that is where they will lose. There is ample evidence that is where we are headed. Imagine if you will a Jerry Jones type owning Clemson University football franchise. He tells Dabo what players to buy, etc. How would that feel to us as fans?
