CK DJ decision

Realistically, the outcome of the ND game probably wouldn’t have changed with CK as QB.
We should have won SC game - defensive lapses in backfield and the last fumble cost us that one. Had that not happened, we probably go 30 yards, bleed clock and hit winning FG.
In any event, we would not have made playoffs. I do think Clemson is better than TCU, but not better than Bama.
We’ll see. If we TCB vs Tenn, we can play “what if”and come back next year with something to prove. We always play better with ROY bus mentality and chip on shoulder.
Good season winning the ACC - really good wins vs NCS, FSU, gutsy win vs Syr. Like the way the young linebackers played. CK is real deal, Shipley and Mahfa are great combo, and OL improved. Great year by Potter capping off awesome career. Lots to be optimistic about.
Jury still out on Streeter as OC. Need a shakeup at WR coach. Hope we use portal for a couple of difference makers. Other than that, pieces are in place for 2023.
If we win Orange Bowl, it’s another great year.
Congrats Coach Swinney. Still wouldn’t trade him for anyone.

Not sure how the jury is still out on Streeter. Seems some want to blame him for DJ (and the play calling due to DJs shortcomings) but give him no credit for the other QBs he has coached. He was able to use KB2 to get to the playoffs which is quite the accomplishment.

I think it's fair to give him credit as a good QB Coach, but to be unsure about him as an OC.

What's ironic is they try to say he didn't develop DJ, but honestly DJ was twice as good as he was prior year. DJ showed significant improvement, from really bad to inconsistently bad

"In any event, we would not have made playoffs."
??
You think that if we had beaten SC, and therefore had been a 12-1 Conference Champion, that we wouldn't have been in the playoffs? That's ridiculous.

Not really ridiculous at all. Good chance they take an 11-1 Ocry0 St team that lost to Michigan and beat ND over a 12-1 Clemson team with a VERY bad loss to the same ND team that OSU beat. But since we lost to the coots we will never know.

We would have lost at Notre Dame just because they were more physical. (IMO) Just my opinion but the committee would have taken us over TCU if we had won the South Carolina game. And I think we are a better team than Alabama with Cade as the quarterback but Georgia is hands down the best team in the country, IMO. It is always good winning the conference championship as that is one of Dabo's team goals. Jury may still be out on Streeter, but the solution to that is just rehire Jeff Scott. Finally I agree about Dabo but I hope he realizes his indecision about putting Cade in the South Carolina game was costly.

Why do you think JS is the solution? He has never called plays or developed a QB in his career. He was a great recruiter which made him look like a great WR coach but i remember early in his career when the t-net mob wanted him fired claiming he could not coach. Then he recruited Nuk and Sammy and the others which made him look great. Not with NIL pushing the elite WR recruits to Ohio and other well heeled schools not sure how CJS would be a solution. Note it would likely benefit us to bring him back in some capacity but to think this move would solve everything is a stretch IMO

Not sure if TCU is even relevant - we would have been put in before OSU if beat USC. But looking forward from here - hopefully a win against Tenn and a chance at CFP next season.

I want to feel good after the ACC championship game but then I start thinking this Unc team would not have beaten any team we have played for an ACC championship. Unc is not a very good football team they had a good receiver and a decent QB. I want say Maye's is great because he struggled against the 4 best D's he played against this year. I can't wait to see how we match up against UT.

…asterisk next to an OB victory over Tennessee.
Yes, I know that Clemson played against Hooker when he was at VT, but it’s the entire surrounding offense for Hooker this year that made that Tennessee offense special.
I wish that Hooker was playing in the OB.

Let’s please act like men with Character and leave the hookers out of this Orange Bowl, it’s wild enough in Miami.
