Then ride the elevator to the top of One World Trade Center. Coolest elevator ride in NYC.

Take the double decker, open air tour bus around the city. Go to the 911 Memorial, you will never forget it.

Haven’t been in a while. Keep an eye on your wife and your wallets. While a police presence, one of the most heavily touristy areas and that attracts riff raff. Avoid the scam beggars dressed up as characters. Most prices are negotiable from street vendors. It’s pricey but most restaurants are great- alot of pub fare, Italian, and steakhouses. Sights- WTC, Empire State Building, St Patrick Cathedral, NY public library, NYU, Pier (on west side). Avoid the nudie bars ?!
Hope this helps and enjoy. Safe travels!

Sorry for the triple post. Guess I needed to get a point across lol.
All for Aaron Judge, but stop interrupting football. Especially by one of the worst game callers lol. And keep the game box larger. Rant over???

Don’t take a tour bus, but if you do make sure they speak English. Lots of Spanish speaking tours. Best way to see all of New York believe it or not is get a cab! Pay the guy $100 and he will show you Harlem, Bronx and everything else. You’ll be so happy you did this you will give him a $40 tip. I’m serious, the street cops will tell you the same thing. Ask them. Also visit the firehouse at the trade center , shake hands with a few firemen. You will get chills.

Just to add, the best time to visit NYC is on a subway. Park outside in a small town and take the subway to Madison square garden then find your cabby. Subway is free on Sunday.

For dinner, I'd try Tony DiNapoli's on 147 W 43rd St. Usually very difficult to get into...see if you can get a reservation.
For lunch when downtown, Katz's Deli 205 E Houston St, is very well known and popular.

If you are in midtown this Saturday night, and want to hang with other Clemson fans during the game, give the Liberty NYC pub (29 W 35th St- Between 5th & 6th Avenue) a try.

Here are my recommendations.

|
|
Since you’re staying in Times Square, check out a TKTS kiosk for discounted Broadway show tickets. You can’t go wrong here. The really popular shows like Lion King, Wicked, etc. tend to get gone but there are lots of other great shows to see.
Check out Grand Central Terminal nearby.
You also aren’t far from Central Park. Definitely worth a stroll.
Little Italy isn’t too far from you. Have a nice Italian meal there.
Speaking of eating, eat at a classic NY diner once. Get a slice of NY style pizza too. Lots of options here.
I recommend doing an observation tower. Top of the Rock and Empire State Building are both good. I prefer Top of the Rock. Great views!
The 9/11 memorial downtown is worth seeing. While you’re there, you’ll be close enough to take some pictures of the Statue of Liberty. I don’t think it’s worth going to Ellis Island to see it up close, given your relatively short trip. Up to you though.
Rockefeller Center is neat too. The Christmas tree won’t be up yet, but it’s still a fun area.
I know some people knock the tour buses, but they are a great way to see the city in a few hours. I recommend one for you since it’s your first time in the city.
Finally, don’t worry about crime. Just stay in the tourist areas and be smart, and you’ll be fine. I’d guess that most of the comments here about NYC being dangerous are from people who haven’t been recently and are just parroting what they heard on Fox News. You aren’t likely to be a victim of a crime there.

- The 9/11 Memorial and One World Trade Center - Times Square is not far from Central Park - lots to see there, but may cold. - The Broadway Theatres are within walking distance. If you can find tickets, take in a show. - Some good shops and restaurants at Times Square. You just have to deal with tourists. - If you have a whole day, drive out to Montauk or take the Long Island Expressway. About a 2 hour drive, but nice views. You drive though the Hamptons and Montauk has some nice shops and scenery. If you are into wine, there are a few vineyards out there too. Area does not look or feel like New York.

Go to the TKTS booth in Times Square and buy Broadway tickets (musicals or plays) at a big discount (20-50% off) the day of the show.
https://www.tdf.org/nyc/7/tkts-ticket-booths![]() TDF operates two TKTS Discount Booths in New York City, including our flagship location in the heart of Times Square. When you buy your Broadway and Off Broadway tickets from TKTS, you’re supporting a non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining and sharing the arts, and developing the audiences of the future.

Keste in downtown has the best pizza in the city. Absolutely phenomenal. You do get a view of the freedom tower. However I've never been to the site. But take ubers. Subways are dangerous. Streets aren't real safe. Times Square is sketchy at best. Amazing to see but not great. It's like the 1980s again in Manhattan. So just be alert. Pains us as we would take the train from Long Island 4/5 times a year and just wonder. But we haven't gone since the riots. We left NY 3 months ago and we don't miss it.

Do not venture out in any shape or form. NYC is a sewer dump. You are likely to be mugged, attacked and seriously injured and at worst killed. The cops can no longer be relied on because their hands are tied by a Marxist mayor and Marxist prosecutors.
Stay in your quarters until time to leave.
