When it comes to Clemson football, his opinion is the most irrelevant. Having said that, over the summer (while channel surfing) I stopped on his show one afternoon and he said "Clemson fans can gloat when they beat Auburn." Guess his agenda isn't panning out so he changed his tune.

We need to pay him not the least heed. He has no sports background aside from being a broadcasting hanger on and has become nothing more than a shallow apple polisher for Saban particularly and the SEC generally but primarily for the ways league play can be manipulated to make Bama look good. Clemson is a daily reminder to him how hollow his cheerleading is, because Clemson proved to be Bama's equal and then its betters in consecutive years. But he still can't help himself. He won't attack any other team like he does Clemson.

Nobody will get a trophy for being ranked number one right now. I don't hate the guy because he's just part of college football. Let him keep dishing it out on Clemson if he wants to. I loved watching his reaction to Bama losing last year. Hopefully we will get to see it again this year.

The man says so much he has no idea what he has said.
I remember beating one of the greatest teams that ever graced a football field earlier this year in Tampa. As far as this season, I remember some comment about 'wait until you beat Auburn'.
In the end I hope to see his sour face along with Bogger, Mc Elroy, and some other SEC coach once again after a successful outcome in Atlanta.

When my Clemson Tigers were NEVER mentioned on tv or the radio for any reason and now some complain why someone dares to accept the fact that the Tigers may not be the number one team in the country! Being compared with Alabama football is NOT a bad thing. Stop the hate. It gains you nothing.

I happened to catch this interview yesterday and just shook my head at the corrupted and twisted logic this homer used to justify Bama at #1. Essentially, his thesis hangs it hat on Bama having beat a "great team" while Clemson's competition wasn't nearly as good as advertised, furthering this narrative by referencing Louisville last year and calling VTech an ok team.
As with many posters, I don't care so much at this point, but should our Tigers continue taking care of business, I'd really rather see us in the Sugar Bowl rather than the Rose. Bama and their fans want Bama in the Sugar too in my view. Its also frustrating to me that even though he's a regular on SEC Network, Ole Pawl is packaged by ESPN as an objective football analyst whenever he's inserted into the networks other talking head shows.
Anyway, back to the problem at hand. Beat Wake! Go Tigers!

Clemson deserves to be at the top followed by Alabama. The Tigers have three wins over top 15 teams and the Turds got a win over an FSU team with a ton of question marks. They are also out of the top 25 while the three teams that Clemson beat are still ranked.
Clemson is the best team in college football right now. Most complete and most dynamic. Alabama has yet to play a better defense than FSU and they held them in check for most of the game.

Who Cares but it is still amazing to watch how this man can be so "intoxicated" with the Bama and SEC juice! The only time where the Tigers is ranked is at or near the end of the year. It would be nice to play Penn St(assuming the season ends how teams are ranked now). And Bama playing a mobile QB in Mayfield( think Chip Kelly and Johnny football) is trouble. Saquan Barkley is tough but BV and the Tiger defense given time to prep would bottle them up I believe.
But, who knows what can change between now and then! You all know they are still looking for a way to get Urban Meyer in the CFP! LOL!
For the record: " CU based on past years criteria should be an easy #1 "! I honestly think what he was looking @ was how many points they put up 66 pts and 59 pts the past two weeks. CU has not obliterated their opponent! Many people do that b/c they look at " how dominate" a team is over an "inferior or supposedly inferior opponent"! CU has not obliterated anyone really except Kent St. Bama is scoring in bunches the two score mentioned earlier plus two games with 41 pts and 1 with 24. The 24 pt effort against a fairly new FSU defense. Derwin James was hurt all last year, they lost D. Walker and some other really good players and only posted 24 pts. If FSU offense could have stayed on the field more( see 2nd half of championship game) the game would have been much closer! Defense wore down from being on the field too long for FSU. The only quality defense Bama has played.

It actually makes total sense....
Paul Finebaum is a well documented hater of Clemson and has actually stated that point blank. Clemson is a threat to the made up "SEC Supremacy" over college football and for whatever reason, a guy who grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and holds a degree from the University of Tennessee is now the world's biggest Alabama fan. He gets paid to spew his opinions that aren't even hot takes, they're just blind allegiance to one team and one conference.
His reasoning makes total sense.
