They were the weak link. Mukuba, supposedly our best player, was out of position all day.
Now, was he coached poorly, as he sure wasn't by the same guy last year. Or did he simply not just play his assignment, which he clearly knows?

everything else sucked except running backs. Gotta hand it to beamer, he had the balls to go for it on two fourth downs and it resulted in 14 pts. They scored off our turnovers, too. Defense had a pick six and a safety. Three sacks? Pressure wasnt consistent but they still brought it. Problem was our offense could not do squat and could not get out of its own way.

Makuba hasn't been right ever since coming back from that arm injury.
No way we should have been beaten deep on multiple occasions like that.
Lack of serious discipline in the back end.

Yes defensive play calling was suspect as well. They didn’t blitz rattler enough. Rattler can’t take the pressure. He folds under pressure. He is a mirror image of DJ. Inconsistent since high school especially when blitzed.

Goodwin deserves his share of the blame this year but other than Mukuba’s mistakes I can’t really criticize the defense for the loss. The offense’s struggles lead directly to a tired defense in the second half.

No passes. The entire team has underperformed and is a disappointment. With the exception of maybe 3 people none have been very good.

I give Wes a pass. Our offense could not put any drives together forcing our defense to play almost entire second half.

They scored 9 points.
Add a pick in the west end zone…otherwise, it would’ve been 38-30.
They put the ball back in the O’s hands 3 times at a time when all needed was a fg.
They played their hearts out. Did you see KJH5?
The defense definitely put the Tigers in a place to win yesterday. Several times.
Pork Chop. Did. His. Job.
That team scored 63 points last week.
