Sure, de-committing isn’t the greatest sign of good character, but until the NCAA puts regulations in the money, these kids are just looking out for themselves. I can’t and don’t blame them. I take advantage of every tax loophole allowed by the IRS. Doesn’t make me a crook. Makes me smarter and more lucrative than those who don’t. But nothing crooked about it.

I've posted many times and gotten TD 'd for it. But slamming our decommits is a huge slap in Dabo's face. It's saying Dabo doesn't know how to evaluate character. And that is the furtherist from the truth you can get. Clemson has hands down the best, most thoroughly vetted offer in cfb.

For a raise year over year that may be more than their parents have made in the last ten years combined!! It is no different than committing to your job for the time that you work there, then be offered more, and moving on. It sucks, but that’s the way it is.
I kind of laugh now when people say “it’s all about the money”, or “they bought their team”, or “they’re just after the money”. Of course they are, of course the schools are, and of course it is.
Move on. Coach up who we’ve got, and spot the ball!!

Can you coach up a 2-3 star guy to get the production of a 4-5 star guy? And if we coach them up to a level where they can contribute, do they stay or leave? If you dont play the NIL game, you are placed at severe disadvantages...just saying....

The players are selfish and want lots of life changing money for themselves and their families. They don't care about me being happy watching my football team dominate. They would rather take care of themselves and their families over my having a good time recreationally. Selfish jerks.

To the people saying they don't blame them for decommiting and taking the money...Well if you're in it for the money, then why commit to begin with. Why not wait until your acceptable offer ($) comes along and then commit. I'm so done following recruiting or should I say buying your team now. Nothing fun about following any of it anymore

No one said the kids are crooked. 99% follow the money these days. I do believe some of the parents realize who their kids are with for 4 years is important to them. These are the ones probably not living on the streets.

I haven't heard a single poster imply that these kids, and that is what they are crooked. I think many of them are misguided, but some are probably going to the school they always wanted to go to and getting paid at the same time. Some are not thinking long term and I expect some of them that get a lot of money will be broke just a few years out of college with no education and no future. All of them are not going to the NFL. Some may not even turn out to be the best player at their position.

I dont blame the kids for accepting more money in this environment, they didn't create the system in place now...........and i dont blame anyone leaving a job they committed to for more money....many people need it to make things better.
however on a much deeper level commitment is a very important thing, the good book says many on judgment day will say lord lord....and talk about all the miracles they did and good things for people they did........he says he never knew them....they did it there way, not the way the commitment is asked of them it seems to matter.

What's crooked is using NIL to recruit players (sway commitments). It is not supposed to be used as a recruiting inducement.
