Why expand?

Unless your able to lure Penn State or somneone of that caliber, what's the need for expansion? Maybe we should consider contraction.

What does having 16 teams give you that 14 does not? I get it if you were adding extra revenue through larger TV market or adding a major team. But most of the teams I'm hearing are just another mouth to feed that don't add any value.

I'm hoping for a Penn St and OSU marriage to the ACC, or, or, Clemson-FSU to the Big 10, and I would be OK with that....

The last thing we want is to have schools that bring little to the table and benefit considerably. That’s only going to hurt Clemson.

Kinda agree. I work for an independent healthcare system. When merger fever struck healthcare about ten years ago, there was some hand wringing within our organization about merging with one of the big systems. In the end we stayed independent. Our profits have increased and we’re growing organically. Now comes news that some of these mega systems are seeking to divorce from one another. Sometimes these marriages don’t work out the way we think, especially when egos are involved.
