It is a great business model, but it doesn't make me accept it as a irrefutable source of information.
And it doesn't mean it is true.
It may be true and I won't dispute your belief that it is true. But I will take it with a grain of salt and doubt the truthfulness of the entire posting (to quote Stephen Colbert, the story may have some "truthiness"). Why? Because to me it reads as ramblings because there are no, none, zilch, nada, zero corroborating sources.
You can go to CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc. websites and get actual, real, corroborated facts for FREE (and a lot of opinion pieces that may or may not fit your world view which will cause some folks on this board to yell at me for mentioning a news source that they have deemed to be ultra conservative/socialist/atheist/bat poop crazy, so sorry if I offended you). But to learn what a 17/18 year old may have said or done is going to cost me money.

..."I'm told.." is not exactly sound sourcing, and when you add the fact that he had almost no prior engagement with Florida, it doesn't pass the smell test. Who really thinks a kid would reach out to a school he hadn't visited, where he hadn't been engaged positively with coaching staff, where he hadn't even been considered for a scholarship, on NSD??
I'm told he reached out to Ohio State, UGA, Bama, ND,too, just before but they also turned him down.......(They were all equally on his list of inactive possibilities....) See how easy that is? BS

Clemson was the school he chose once it was realized Florida wouldn't offer the package deal. Anyone thinking Florida didn't offer him on his own or told him no to anything besides a package deal has rocks in their head.

Also ( and this is no slam on the mods or the site itself, I enjoy Tnet) but this thread is a great example of what is wrong with the posters on this board.
1.) Anyone with an opinion that Clemson is not perfect or not with 100% certainty the only school in the nation is a coot...
2.) The source is confirmed but the source is automatically not credible...
3.) Posters get slammed for even bringing the material to the board for discussion even thought the kids letter is signed and sealed
OP was not trying to stir anything up, how could he? NSD is over and Alexander is Clemson bound. HE just stating that it is interesting to note. He is not a coot or troll trying to cause problems. Whoever made the comment about it can't be rainbows all the time is spot on.
Now for the sake of discussion, I think it is interesting that Florida would turn him down too but still a good pickup for clemson.

All I see is links to a paysite which I have no intention of paying for. So, it is a little obnoxious to state something that is, at the least, slightly embarrassing to Clemson then troll for new subscriptions or know people aren't going to be able to read what you're referencing. The OP could certainly be construed as saying that we shouldn't be too excited about Alexander as he's got issues (trying to switch commits at last second) and even bigger issues (Florida doesn't even want him despite his 5* status and being homegrown). It is certainly negative about our highest ranked recruit and is very "cootish" to say. The so called proof is just about as concrete as any of the bloggers who are pretty certain we're about to start our second year competing in the Big 12. Therefore, if you're a Tiger fan, there is no reason to be perpetuating it. (I can post to twitter real quick that I know for a fact that Robert N cried to his mama the night before signing day because he wanted to come to Clemson - are you gonna keep posting a link all over Tnet and pretend that it makes it true). Now, if someone breaks the interview with Muschamp or Alexander where they talk about this then let me know. Otherwise, you can put it into the internet garbage pile.

From what I have read the kid seems to have a great work ethic, but things he has done in recruiting have seemed a little odd.
