He has all the scholarships he needs, especially once all the Covid era players are gone.

Aiden Swanson. He is the punter and kicked pretty well in the spring game. We had 4 placekickers plus Swanson on the roster before Boyd transferred. We have options.

This wasn't unintentional roster mismanagement or a handringing, overly cautious move by a coach with a punter complex but more likely a premeditated ruse aimed at avoiding questions, complaints, & critcisms regarding the TP; as Dabo continues to practice abstinence when it comes to talent acquisition by way of the transfer portal—

Because 1 is a senior and we have the next-in-line ready to go (and a backup plan). Same thing last year at kicker - Potter and Gunn were both on scholarship.

But you’re definitely correct on this issue. We shouldn’t have two punters on scholarships. We could have used that extra one on a different position.

You always need a backup in case of injury or the possibility of losing one if he does not have a scholarship.

I miss the days when we had someone like Gardocki. He handled pk,ko,xp,and punting. I can only imagine what Danny would have done with the transfer portal as a viable option.

Swanson is a red shirt Senior. If he hadn’t come back for a 5th year, we would only have 0ne true punter. I know Gunn can supposedly kick and punt, but I think it works out better keeping separate.
