When he’s talking about folks running the wrong route or something like that, which is on par with things he’s said about Dj (wrong read, etc)
Add to that, I think coaches have to determine how best to love/encourage/motivate each player. DJ is being openly criticized and he may think it best to defend him in order to keep his morale up.

Honestly we (fans) have NO idea what method of motivation/encouragement would work best with him. All you can do is trust the leaders in place.

That's not true. I have heard reporters specifically ask Dabo what is wrong with DJ and Dabos answer was to throw the receivers and Tight End or O-line under the bus. Never even answering the question about DJ. Now that was in the first 6 games or so. I haven't heard him do that in the last few games. Probably because he knows nobody will buy it anymore.

If you have watched the game we had a punt return called back on a slight hand signal. We were moving the ball down the field and pace fumbled. The int was on Dj he threw it behind his guy, but nothing to say really.

Sadly, the qb is the backbone of the team (from a media view). Myles Brennan and Cade will be here soon enough. If DJ plays halfway decent in the 2nd half, we should be fine. Go Tigers!
