Which arm was ruined at South Carolina? See this all the time, just wondering which pitcher had his arm ruined?
Leggett did the right thing, early in season they have a pitch count and he stuck to it. 1 game in a long season.

Woooooooooooooooooo. So 76 pitches is our count? If that is true it is going to be a long season DE. That is a borderline ridiculous statement to make. If your getting up to 90 then your looking at pulling. Gossett has gone 100 plus before.
You at least let Gossett get to 88-90 yesterday. I think if you ask Jack today why he pulled him he would tell you I screwed up.

better read the paper then palmetto. it is a long season and yes daniel probably could have gone one more inning. havent we seen enough arms blown out in cooterville. we had a 4-1 lead and a veteran bullpen. there was nothing at all wrong with the move. i am quite sure had they not had faith in pohle he would not have put him in. didnt work out. most everyone else pitched great. are we gonna sit krieger cause he made an error.

I will ask again, what arms have you seen blown out at South Carolina? DERoberts you made a statement, "haven't we seen enough arms blown out in Cootville", which arms??
All pitchers are on a pitch count this early and 1 game will not make or break your season. Coaches give the pitchers their pitch limits and they know when they're coming out. Absolute right thing to do with your starter.

later in their careers, if they go pro. Each arm is only capable of so many pitches over a lifetime. That number differs by person, but if you wear it out when you are younger, your "expiration date" may be artificially advanced a bit.

Even in MLB, they try and limit pitch count to 75-80

In the MLB they have a full staff of arms getting paid 40 million dollars. In the MLB these guys might get 20 plus starts.
Completely different scenario. You can't compare the college game and MLB. Also, not every pitcher in the MLB is put on a strict 75-80 pitch count. Generalizing like that is completely inaccurate.

coaches handle young arms in cold weather. A pitch count is used to protect the players. This is nothing new or revolutionary.
It's a shame the the next 2 pitchers did not get the job done.

Regardless I'm afraid we are doomed to mediocrity until he retires. JL ain't going nowhere so may as we'll accept it.
