While at Clemson...its hard to say. Justin Miller was always a fav of mine, 9 INTs his Fr year. Obviously AJ Terrell is up there, Alexander was more shutdown without the picks

Alexander was the Darrel revis of Clemson, no one would throw his way. I would this Dawkins and summon in the mix as DBs. But pure CB Alexander.

Dawkins is a good pick, loved watching him play well into his 30's with the Eagles. But Kinard is a no-brainer.

He was a shutdown corner. I think he only gave up one TD, unfortunately vs FSU. Offenses didn't want to throw his way much. Wish he and Shaq had been able to play the CFP championship game in 2015.

This is my pick too. Mac was the definition of shutdown corner. That one TD was because he slipped on the field too. No one else scored a TD on him so to me it's a hard argument to not have him at the top.

I only started watching Clemson football in 2008 as a casual fan and then I grow into a diehard fan in 2011. So I don’t really know much about the players who played at Clemson in 60s-00s. I can only pick a player from 2010s to present because that’s what I’m more familiar with.
So I would have to choose A.J Terrell.

Kearse was fantastic his freshman but went down hill his next 2 seasons. I don’t know if he was hurt or what but he stopped being as aggressive and the plays like where he ran down the Louisville player in 2014 completely stopped. He would let up on plays a lot his last year.

My top would be:
1. Antwan Edwards: He was an All-World college safety with no real weakness. Crazy range and ball hawking ability. Not the hit man B. Dawkins was, but all around he was probably a little better college safety than Dawkins. He was literally a one man show that was unfortunately on forgettable teams.
2 tie. Donnell Woolford/ Dexter Mcleon/ AJ Terrell: Terrell could have been #1 if J. Burrow and J. Chase hadn't cooked him so thoroughly during the 2019 Natty.

I went to the Clamson/NC State game, in '98 I believe, and he was covering Torry Holt better than anyone else could. Then, in the 2nd quarter, Edwards re-injured his hamstring. Soon after, Holt had a long TD catch. It was a 7 point loss.
Edwards was great, but seemed to be injured a lot, a "bane of the existance" of athletes.

Really surprised Andrew Booth hasn't shined in the NFL
I thought he would be our next great CB
He made some spectacular picks at Clemson

Fields was mostly a backup at Clemson. He was a 4 star on Rivals and 247. Sometimes it just doesn't work out in your favor with multiple factors - competition, coachability, work ethic, drive, passion, injuries, etc.

Really hard to pick between Kinard, Dawkins and Woolford. I played a lot of basketball with Kinard at Fike and he was one fantastic athlete. Would have loved to see him play in the modern era against pass first offenses.

Probably on the younger side of this discussion, Woolford and Kinard were before my time and I was still practically in diapers by the time Dawkins was in the NFL, so Mack Alexander is my guy.
Mackensie Alexander is the best CB in the last 15 years and he’d be a starting corner on the Clemson All-Time Defense IMHO. McDaniel would be the best safety I remember watching but it’s probably Kinard or Dawkins really as the GOATs.

I see Mackensie ( 2 ) mentioned here a whole bunch.
He was a great CB at Clemson from the jump.
And I say from the jump because when he came to Clemson
he brought his attitude with him. And to be clear , I'm being complimentary.
He knew when he lined up across from you , that you're not getting the ball
Period. End of discussion. I eat up that kinda confidence. The BEST have it.
Which is funny ia an odd way. When I watch Jalen Ramsey or one of the coots { Gilmore in particular )
it makes me nauseus. 
You have to have that at CB. And a short memory.
He however had an injury riddled NFL career that never took flight.
Last checked ; he's been released by the Cowboys
Also , he wore # 2 here. Which brings us to whom ?
Nate Wiggins, who also chose #2 as a gesture to MA. ( unsure )
That's why Woolford rises to the top. He not only shutdown his side of the field
at Clemson but was a career shutdown CB with the Bears.
They didn't even bother looking
Mindful that the '85 Bears won the Super Bowl
And Woolford came on shortly in that same era.
So, we are talking a stout Bears team , not what they currently trout out on the field.
