That is one of the pieces to the puzzle that we needed in my opinion. Last year, we were one injury awa from having a walk on as our starting QB. This will give us the much needed depth at this position.

Dabo wants to bring someone into the QB room who’s older, has college experience, and knows the system. I assume to help Cade adjust to the college level. Does he think DJ wouldn’t do that?

I wonder if Dabo thinks we really may have another 2018 situation, and thinks we’ll need another “Chase Brice” after “Kelly B” leaves town after game 4.

If you expect to get a top 10 starting level QB out of the portal to compete with 2 other guys for the starting spot then you are disillusioned. He is a good pick up for several reasons, and none of them are that we expect him to start next year.
