Who is winning it all this year?

I say Tennessee. As much as I would love for it to be us, I’ll be happy with an ACC championship. Personally think we would get blown out in the playoff

Michigan holds the key. If they can take out the Bucknuts, that will blow it open. For some reason, ahhhhhhhhhh, Day makes me lose it,,, anyone but them

The winner of the Tenn. at UGa. game will be our main competition. Cold weather teams have trouble in the Holidays warm weather. Go Tigers. Just win out.

while their defense isnt the greatest..they have played some actually decent teams unlike ohio state..but i do think state vs tenn would be a very fun game to watch first team to 70 wins

Remember the LSU/A&M multi/multi overtime game where they were both in the 70s.

I don't know, but defense travels

and that gives us a chance against anyone. Our defense isn't making the same mistake twice and is improving every game. I definitely see an ACC championship, and with 3 weeks plus to prepare for the playoffs I like our chances.

Georgia has not been the juggernaut that they were last year, but If I had to put money on one team, it would be them. They still have to deal with Tenn AND Bama, so they have a pretty toughh row to hoe.

Disagree about us being blown out in the playoffs as set in stone.
Personally, I believe our "respect" to our opponents leads us prone to playing down to them.
I'm not saying we'd hammer teams like the 2018 squad but I definitely believe we'd play up to competition too if we played more elite teams. We have a very good team that just hasn't put together elite consistency for us to feel confident against say Tenn/UGA/Bama or the Buckeyes/MICH teams.
This team is closer to the 2016 squad potential IMO in that we keep winning despite of ourselves (not necessarily their talent level wise though we'll have to wait and see for hindsight perspective).
No doubt about it, Clemson is most likely going to be the underdog no matter who they face so you gotta like our odds when that occurs. Not to mention almost a month to get healthy and focused for one opponent that also played a full schedule.
That said, if Clemson can't win it, I'd say ranked voting-wise, here is my current thought for winning it all based on consistency and who's likely to be there at the end of the year.
1. B1G winner (Ohio State or Michigan) 2. SEC winner (Georgia, Tennessee, Bama) 3. PAC winner (Oregon, UCLA, USC, Darkhorse if insanity happens to allow a 2 loss team to sneak in...Utah) 4. Big 12 (TCU)
Ohio State has been one of the more consistent teams and offenses followed by Michigan.
The SEC teams are pretty good but more vulnerable IMO than the B1G bunch.

I think Ohio St. would spank Tennessee.
Buckeyes are the most complete team and I still think Alabama is 2nd on a neutral field.

Is it Ohio State’s zero wins over teams in the top 25?
Tennessee with their overtime win over Pitt (middle of the pack acc team)?
Alabama escaping multi loss Texas? Miss St? Or loss to UT in which their defense disappeared yet again?

Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to say Ohio State… their offense looks really good. Similar to Tennessee this year and 2018 Clemson, they have a special QB/WR combo that is hard to stop.
Everyone saying they haven’t played real competition, while that is true, they’re ignoring the “eye test” part of it. Let’s remember what happened in 2020 when everyone discredited them for making the playoffs with just 7 wins. Or similarly when everyone said 2018 Clemson would get blown out by bama because they played a weak ACC schedule.

I hate to say it but I think Georgia will be playing Ohio St for the National Championship this year.
It’s just October though. A lot can happen between now and the end of the year. Maybe we’ll get things rolling. I could see Bama correcting their issues and winning it all too. I don’t think Tennessee will beat UGA. I also don’t see TCU going undefeated.

Georgia vs Ohio state would be the worst scenario. The top 2 teams I do not want to see win it (except SC but they have 0 chance)
