Who avoids a redshirt and who doesn't?

Trevor Lawrence
Derrion Kendrick
Justyn Ross
Xavier Thomas
Jackson Carman
Kyler Mcmichael
Mario Goodrich
Josh Belk


Redshirts:
Kj Henry
Mike Jones
Braden Galloway
Darnell Jefferies


I may forgot a few others. What's your opinion on who and whos not redshirting...


KJ Henry may be a shocker to some. But you have to think we're already stacked at defense end... We have Ferrell and Bryant, then you have Yeargin, Foster, Xavier Kelly, Register, and Logan Rudolph who actually avoided a RS last season and got pretty good PT until his injury.. that's 8 D ends we have ready to go, KJ will make 9. I may be wrong on that but I'm just giving an opinion. WR we're stacked too but Kendrick and Ross are just too good not to play. Mcmichael and Goodrich plays early bc we need bodies at corner... Chime in!!

DE-Justin Mascoll will also most likely red shirt.

Honestly don't see many redshirts with the scholarship players this year. You never know though, DE will be stacked this year.

I think Mike Jones plays because of the LB depth and if Galloway is 100% he might avoid it as well.

IMO Galloway coming off an injury plus needs to add 25 pounds makes him a very likely RS

My understanding is also that Jefferies is likely to play.

Belk may get a redshirt . I also think Mike Jones is gonna get one , but wouldn't surprise me if he didnt .

I predict the redshirts to be:

Jefferies
Mascoll
Venables
McFadden
Galloway
Dixon

The rest will play.

Henry & Thomas are 3-year guys ... foolish to throw a year away on a redshirt, regardless of how much talent we have at DE. Jones can help us at SAM-LB. Belk could be on the bubble, but we need 6 DT's that can pay, and he should be in that group.
