Goodwin can’t coach and he is killing the team in recruiting. He is not a coach. He is analyst. We cannot keep him another year.

I have no idea. If he does like he did with Venables he'll look for disgruntled defensive coordinator with a proven record at another school. Or, like with Chad Morris, an up and coming innovative coordinator from a lower tier program. Dabo certainly has done it in the past, just not recently...

This move makes way more sense than UNC HC. Who needs Weslicheck when you have the real Belichek. We have Boulware and the rest of the GA's to do the rah rah part
Could also get somebody to come coach LBs like the up and coming LB coach at Oklahoma, James Skalski - this would check the box for the friends and family plan...

Yea, worse part is Rex is a really good defensive coach. But I don’t think his personality would mesh with Dabo.

Lorenzo Ward is already on staff but I don’t how much input he has on anything. At one time he was a good defensive coordinator he would have to be somewhat of an upgrade from Goodwin with experience. I wonder how he would do??

I don’t see Dabo moving on from Wes unless we get blown out Saturday Night or in the first round of the CFP.

How about Steve Wilks. He's a defensive minded coach that has NFL experience and was interim HC for the Cardinals. On staff at UNCC as an analyst right now. I'd say make him an offer if he doesn't get the HC job at App ST or UNCC.

I’d like an old school, elderly coach with connections to the NFL to help recruiting and change the soft defensive culture…. Love the Orgeron idea and maybe even Rex! Nice guys finish last!! We need a big, established name for recruiting and to protect from player transfers…. Also, you can mentor another name for 3-4 years to potentially take over…
