If you don't mind a tip from a lurking Nole (and regular reader of this forum) ....
The Midtown section of town, located one mile due north of downtown (along and to the east of Monroe St/US 27 over to Thomasville Rd), is a growing nightlife district with a number of venues that you can hop in between with a little walking.
Fire Betty's, The Brass Tap (craft beers), Finnigan's Wake (Irish pub), Krewe De Gras, Waterworks, and others in the immediate area are popular nightspots on weekends.

If parking on the east side of the stadium, Madison Social is a good option for beer/drinks and bar food before and after the game. On the corner of Woodward & Madison about two blocks from the stadium.
