Is it my imagination, or do a lot of our players seem under weight?
Our program just doesn't seem able to bulk up players to an effective
playing weight. For example, Zac Brooks at 199 is not in any way going to
be an effective RB. Gallman at 220/225 would be a force at RB, but my guess
is that he won't have gained a pound by this fall. Something is badly amiss
with our strength program, but that area seems to be totally off limits
as regards any kind of constructive comment or criticism. Vic Beasley working
with a specialist in Florida got his weight up to 246 in less than a year--not
to mention his strength and speed, which blew up the NFL combine. But
in three years at Clemson, we could hardly put a pound on him??? Battle and
Gore, for example, haven't gained anything in any area. And don't tell me it's
peanut butter. This issue has come up repeatedly in the past several years, but
mention it and you are going to flamed by the so-called "faithful." Well, I'm
mentioning it, and flame away. We have a problem.

U are absolutely correct!! we have a huge S & C problem and for some reason the Clemson admin and BOT refuse to make changes that would be a big improvement to all our sports teams.It is like baseball; Jack is running our program into the ground and still no changes!! I just wonder why we refuse to do the best we can for our athletic teams??????????????????????????????????
