When your front 4 get blown off the ball every play,

when your linebackers always have somebody on them because the front 4 never needs a double team, when your secondary has holes the size of Madonna's crotch no scheme works.

Agree. Our line has to get push and atleast one of them should demand a double team. There has to be atleast one defensive lineman on our roster who can wreck havoc in the backfield. When the linebackers have blocks on them it messes the entire defense up. Breeland player good at CB but wish Jenkins was out there with him. Brewer I just dont think that he can get any better. Goodman was a bust to me. You hardly ever hear his name or anything. I am ready to see Townsend,Goodson,Anthony, & Steward on the field at same time. Townsend will wreck havoc im pretty sure. Him and Steward play with intensity and I believe that is what our defense needs on the field. Someone like Deandre McDaniel was, Andre Branch, Etc.

I don't agree...our LB were playing zone all night....FSU recievers were wide open for 10 or more yard radiuses. that has nothing to do with getting blown off the ball....what you say is true...but the zone scheme with the players we have does not work....
i think it's a combination of players and scheme....
if we had great players, BV's zone scheme would work, but we don't. And we can't put our great players (steward, townsend, davis etc) in because they don't know the scheme.
So my solution as an ignorant fan would be, put your atheltic 5 stars in the game, tell them to play their man and let them try to make some plays....what else do we have to lose?

cushion we give in the zone is awful. We may not have to see it exposed many more times because we cant stop the run either.

w/o question. don't know how it can be "fixed". simply need bigger and stronger guys at that level. we have not had penetration even on run plays all yr.
