When they drove it down our throat on the first possession

Oct 16, 2022, 12:37 AM

... can you honestly say at that point you’d have said a 6-point win would be disappointing?

They have good players and they came to play. We won because we seized control after taking their best shot early.

When the game was tied 14-14, we basically just imposed our will on them and we eventually won the game during that “Middle Eight” they kept referring to.

Once we got the 20-point lead, we became over-confident and complacent. Not a good situation, but we’ll learn from it.

Meanwhile, we’re 7-0 and control our own destiny.

Yes, FSU has some good players.

But when you look at their talent top to bottom, they had no business keeping it as close as they did. We can say the same thing for Wake Forest.

Bottom line, our team hasn’t performed to its potential these last few years.

On offense, we agree.

Not sure the best is the standard applies to the offense….only the defense. ?

The last 10 minutes we played (called plays) like we wanted to just run out the clock, FSU played like they wanted to win. We were fortunate to have recovered the onside kick. Unsure why the coaches said afterwards we needed to finish - call the friggin’ offensive plays that would allow us to (not runs up the middle every play).

Go Tigers !!!

Stick to basketball Keller.. these other schools have veterans and transfers with plenty of stars.. home field advantage also.. show me a team who hasn’t struggled? I wouldn’t say today was a struggle but the WF game isn’t as bad as some of the teams the other top 10 have struggled with. Y’all just see our games and other teams highlights. Look at their scores and watch a couple of the close games. Bama, Georgia Michigan, USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and yes even Ohio St has had struggles and to this point Clemson has better wins.

I blame BC fans and the media for saying we were "running up the score" last week. That's why we stopped scoring. (Kidding obviously)

Ha! That’s a great point… dammed if we do, dammed if we don’t

My question is who became complacent? Was it the players or the coaches with play calling? I think the coaches started calling the game not to lose instead of just continuing to dominate. I have a strong distaste for that because I believe it can get really bad on you and hamstrings the players

I could be completely wrong but I had the feeling the coaches were purposely holding some plays and other offensive firepower back so it will be a surprise later in the season, and they were content to just get out of Tallahassee with a W.
