What you're seeing is NIL has totally changed things. The SEC and the Big are no longer going to prop up the other conferences. They're not going to let others that has much lower viewership, little stadiums and much less fan following get a big slice of the pie. Those two P2 conferences generate nearly 70 percent of the revenue. They're saying give us 70 percent of the playoff spots or 70 percent of the revenue. A breakaway is going to happen sooner or later. These two shouldn't have to keep up conferences that has far less following/viewership/stadiums/fans.
